Default New Treasure Hunt - Mystery of Alex and the Greatest Dream

You can check this treasure hunt, The Mystery of Alex and the Greatest Dream (its a mystery that needs to be solved to get to the answer) out here. It is a fantasy story that you need to read and within the story there's clues that tell you how to interpret the illustrations, in the illustrations are the clues that tell you the answer to the mystery, which tells you how to get the treasure. There is a $500 000 prize fund, but it gets distributed between more than one winner.

I dont know if any has already bought the book as well, i didn't see any posts on here?

If you have, please let me know. This book is much like The Merlin Mystery.

    Sammex83,

Thank you again for sharing "Solve the Mystery of Alex and the Greatest Dream" with us.

I procrastinated slightly before getting started but once I began reading this fantasy novel it was impossible to put down. My passion as a treasure hunter began with Mike Stadtherís Secrets of the Alchemist Dar. It drew me in quickly then inspired me to dream. It continues to captivate my attention today.

After finishing this book I feel drawn to giving it some of my attention too. It almost feels as if it were an extension of the concept I discovered with Mikeís book. Dreams can be achieved if they are pursued. It also has a similar feel to a book I read this past summer called the Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Both books allude to a concept that the entire universe will conspire to help a worthy dream.

The nine pages of illustrated ciphers look very fascinating. I havenít made much progress with them so far, but Iím trying. Iíd be relatively surprised if I was able to figure these ciphers out by the deadline.

After reading the Mystery of Alex and the Greatest Dream I get the sense that this contest is part of a very noble project. Perhaps itís my overactive imagination but this hunt seems well beyond the scope of a search for material gain. I believe the four people that win this prize will be extraordinary individuals that go on to do great things throughout their lives.

I highly recommend purchasing a copy of this book if all the free copies are already gone. It is well worth the price.

The book is a nice compact size that can easily fit right into a handbag.

Thanks again for making us aware of it.

Thank you for the reply, so nice to hear what others think of the book. The treasure hunt does form part of a much larger initiative, called the caylixquest - www.caylixquest.com, that has to do with real life dreams and the importance of pursuing them. The first clue that was posted on the site of the treasurehunt also points to some connection between the quest and the solution of the treasure hunt or so it seems.

    Default made me laugh

I may get in trouble for heinous copyright infringement here, but
I had to laugh when I read this from the 'Alex' tale:

"What Alex dreamt that night was not the greatest dream,
it was just a dream about the greatest dream."

For Jack Black, Tenacious D fans, it bore a thematic resemblance
to some lyrics from the quirky, humorous 'Tribute':

"This is not The Greatest Song in the World, no.
    This is just a tribute.
Couldn't remember The Greatest Song in the World, no, no.
This is a tribute, oh, to The Greatest Song in the World,"

I recall an earlier post explaining (away) the grammar 'issues', I
hope it's a legit reason. Is the author a European South African,
    or a native South African?

    Default Website Updated

    Hi,

Just in case you didn't know, the Alex Treasure Hunt website http://www.alextreasurehunt.com/index.html has been updated today.

Looks cool, but ground my laptop to a standstill and the book still isn't available via Amazon (or anyplace else I can find)

well - have sent for the free online - supposed to be a link in my e-mail when I get there
it is sounding to me like they are no longer limiting to the 100 but are giving a free online copy to anyone signing up for their newsletter? anyone else get this take?
I also tried to bookmark the home page - not sure if my computer ( getting aged as am I!) is screwing up or if there is some block to bookmarking - I have NEVER had a problem bookmarking before - guess I will keep this hunt to my desktop if it is hard on laptops! I was able to freely explore on the site with no problems so far - only took the upper right hand branch of the information tree - will explore the others later!
