all really excellent points!
I am sure you have given this a lot of thought and just in case you still
have a kernel of quilt....I was wondering if you stopped to help some one
change their flat tire on the side of the road....would you take the car.....
if you and your daughters helped a little boy find his lost puppy...would
you keep the dog.....if you were helping some one find their lost wedding
ring in the park with your metal detector ....would you keep it.....people
help people without the expectation of payment ....it's the thing to do.....also you might want to know that more
then likely a movie and a follow up book with solutions will be written....
if you are not carful your name...your kids last name.....will go down
as the dirty rotten treasure stealers that you are......or if you act fast
you can come off as the wonderful helpful delight people ...heroes to many
and your kids will see their names in the books and maybe in the movies
under a good light.....give it some thought
all really excellent points!
..... but villians are included as part of many great movies. I have already been wondering how the movie would play out, starting with our first found token. Controversy is what is adding the new twist and keeping this interesting this week. Police called in, state parks closing trees off from the public.... this is great movie stuff. If I was Michael I would be laughing all the way to the bank.
(No disrespect meant to the familys that have been bested by the interpreted foul play.)
Good movies also show the villains getting thwarted. It would be great drama to show her finding the token and then being stripped of the ability to claim the jewel because of the way she got it.
You bet!! I hope it plays out that way. And we are just beginning to find the little boogers! I can't wait to read about the rest of the storys. I'm thinking husbands brawling in parks, soccer moms with kids in tow screaming at one another in the lovely forest, children watching their parents be arrested for tearing up knotholes. Not to mention the ending where the Author is paying massive fines to the State Park system for what was suppose to be innocent fun and adventure.Originally Posted by katgirl91
For what it's worth, look at the bright side:
1) Because of the tax and the relatively low pay of NM state trooppers, she may go for the cash. This leaves the jewel in better hands.
2)She'll have to sign the agreement being at the PR folks beck and call for "perpetuity" (bwa hah hah hah or other evil laugh)
3)The media may find out about the lame method of finding the token and ask her about it. Uncomfortable squirming on live TV - oh yeah!
4)She'll have the pleasure of receiving letters/packages/phone calls- all from people (or long lost relatives) wanting a share of the prize.
What comes around goes around - and I suspect the bee finder will have it going around for quite a while.
