    Default Observation game

    An oldie, but a goodie....

    Chp

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The average person only gets 7 right. This is based on U.S. & CDN info, so
use all of the lobes of your brain. This can be more difficult than it
looks -- it just shows how little most of us really see! There are 27 questions about
things we see every day or have known about all our lives. How many can you
get right? These little simple questions are harder than you think-- it just
shows you how little we pay attention to the common place things of life.

Put your thinking caps on. No cheating! No looking around! No getting out of your chair! No using anything on or in your desk or computer! Can you beat 20??

(The average is 7) Write down your answers and then check your answers (on
the bottom) only AFTER completing all the questions.

REMEMBER - NO CHEATING!!! --- BE HONEST!!!

That means no looking at your phone or anything on your desk...Then, before
you pass this on to your friends, change the number on the subject line to
show how many you got correct. Forward to your friends and also back to the
one who sent it to you. LET'S JUST SEE HOW OBSERVANT YOU REALLY ARE.

    Here we go!

    1. On a standard traffic light, is the green on the top or bottom?

    2. How many states are there in the USA? (Don't laugh, some people don't know)

    3. In which hand is the Statue of Liberty's torch?

    6. When you walk does your left arm swing with your right or left leg?

    7. How many matches are in a standard pack?

    8. On the United States flag is the top stripe red or white?

    9. What is the lowest number on the FM dial?

    10. Which way does water go down the drain, counter or clockwise?

    11. Which way does a "no smoking" sign's slash run?

    12. How many channels on a VHF TV dial?

    13. On which side of a women's blouse are the buttons?

    14. Which way do fans rotate?

    15. What is on the back of a Canadian dime?

    16. How many sides does a stop sign have?

    17. Do books have even-numbered pages on the right or left side?

    18. How many lug nuts are on a standard car wheel?

    19. How many sides are there on a standard pencil?

    20. Sleepy, Happy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Dopey, Doc. Who's missing?

    21. How many hot dog buns are in a standard package?

    22. On which playing card is the card maker's trademark?

    23. On which side of a Venetian blind is the cord to turn them up and down?

    24. On the back of a Canadian $1 coin, what is in the center?

    25. There are 12 buttons on a touch tone phone. What 2 symbols bear no digits?

    26. How many curves are there in the standard paper clip?

What's with the Canadian Money questions? Who want's canadian money?
Besides those questions, which don't count....

The only ones I missed are:

Lowest Number on an FM dial:88
    Number of Matches: 20
And I missed Blue and Yellow on the Campbell's Label.

Now, the real thing to know is, how many packages of Hot dogs and buns do you need to buy so that you'll have the right number of buns and dogs (one bun for 1 dog) ?? Hint: they come in different standard numbers.

    NOW THAT is a conspiracy....

I got 19 correct... Missed 6, 9 (2 off), 11, 12 (was thinking UHF), 15, 18 (1 off), 24 (yeah, what's up witht the Canadian coins?) and 26 (had to go find a paperclip to believe it... LOL).

Sheesh! The things we take for granted!
(Or, things you never *need* to know, except for the 3 things that have to do with driving... LOL)

    *edit*
Regarding the hotdogs, the *standard* sizes would require 4 pkgs hotdogs and 5 pkgs buns, to have them match up. I get bun-length hotdogs, myself, so don't have this problem...

    Default ugg!

Ugg. I thought I'd get the mother unit with this one. Thought fer sure she'd only get them half right. We had one like this in Life Skills class.

She only missed one, ONE, and wants me to ask you what the *%#$@*!&#^^@@*!&#!!! a "bluenose" is? She answered a crown.

The reason we both got the other Canadian money right was because we have a collection of "loon" things in our house and we have that dollar so to be fair we had uncommon knowledge. (One loon is made of stained glass and is a life size lamp sculpture she named Claire. Get it? Claire....da Loon.)

The father unit isn't happy with his result and says the mother unit is just good at tests and a smarty pants too. Actually he didn't say pants. So you get the idea.

As for me I got 17 right so I don't feel so bad if people usually get 7 right and father unit only got 19. But one of the ones I got wrong was the stoplight one so it finally made both parental units agree. There is peace in the family once more.

I won't be learning to drive for a while tho.

So now I have to go to sleep and will prolly dream about soup labels being chopped up by giant fans in the middle of Canada.

Missed questions 4 (there's blue on there??), 17, and 24 (never seen a Canadian dollar coin), and I'm only giving myself 1/2 credit on 15 because I didn't know that the boat on the back of the Canadian dime had a name. :P

I don't know about you guys, but here in my part of North Carolina you can get hot dog buns in packs of 8 to match the hot dogs.

Hey, i said sailboat! That makes it 13 1/2!!

How the heck should I know where the buttons are on a woman's blouse? No, i don't wear them very often.

I'm not canadian, so how the heck should I know about their money? i haven't even seen a canadian dollar!!!!!!!

Woo hoo Corialis effect! Actually, the corialis effect is so large-scale that it forces hurricanes and low pressure systems, but not on small things like toilets and sinks. Toilets usually flow that way because of the manufacturing and the system pushes it clockwise, but sinks have no real system and it is common for them to defy the corialis effect.

It's caused by the rotation of the earth, and the force of the turning of the earth pushes at both above and below the equator, which pushes systems into their pattern, clockwise above and cc below. The equator is unnaffected, and they also get no hurricanes because of this.

    Simpson's episode- innacurate.
    Or am I just paranoid...

    *Of course*

Our buns come 8-to-a-pack too... It's the hotdogs that are the problem! A *standard* pack has 10 hotdogs...
