Look at my picture to the left.... can you tell who they are? I was wondering if it is too hard to tell.

The big one is Bear - a very special dark doth that loves to turn around in circles all the time.

The next one is Cindy (nicknamed Snail) - hence the scarf belongs to her.

The next is Wendy - she wears the dragonfly's aviator glasses.

Our fourth one is Allie McBeagle (not pictured)...If I had a picture of her with the others she would have probably been the ladybug...very little and very cute.

Are there many other crazy dog owners out there? How many do you have?

I am the proud owner of a beagle/shepherd mix named Maggie, who looks just like a taller version of your dog, Cindy. She's from the SPCA and is the loving-est dog on the planet. (I really do believe they are grateful for being adopted.)

And, my small stuffed Pook just popped out of his chrysallis this morning!

We have 5 dogs: miniature poodle, poodle-terrier, terrier-bichon, chow-husky, beagle-bassett. I'd post a picture, but don't know how to compress jpg files into the limits needed for the avatar.
Over 1,000 miles travelled in search of 1 token.

Tokens found: zero. (no, I don't expect I'll have to edit this)

    Currently working on: Firefly, beetle.

We have a mix... Mom was a Golden Retriever; dad was obviously the scoundrel from down the road - an Australian Shepherd.

She looks more like dad, and is SO smart and loving, has a wonderful temperment, and is very protective.

Unfortunately, she has heartworm, and is at the stage where she wheezes a lot, with distended belly. She has also had epileptic-like seizures for at least 5 years. If she were in pain, I'd have her put down, for her sake, but she is happy and seems fine, other than slowing down some. And she's now 12 years old, so she's had a good, full life.

Anyone have an Eskimo Spitz? Before this pup, a Spitz was always my favorite!

Cat, I once had a dog that was half Spitz, half Poodle... (A Spoodle?? hehe), and he was a GREAT dog! The Spitz are extremely intelligent. He knew what bath meant, so we started having to spell it when we referred to one - same with cheese (his favorite snack!). It got to where he learned the spelling of some of these words. When we spelled bath, he would hide under the bed, and when we spelled cheese, he would run to the refrigerator! Wish he were here to help me solve this thing!

I love hearing about everyone's dogs.

Destructo... I have heard that Border Collies make great family members. What's your pups name?

Skoldpappa - another crazy like us! All of our dogs are from a rescue group. After the 4th we decided maybe we should just volunteer instead. Every weekend we take pics of the new ones and post them on a website which we link to from the website we do for the rescue group.

    - we love Beagles if you can't tell! Cindy, Windy, and Allie are beagles. Poor Cindy and Wendy were kept outside in an exposed pen until they were resuced and then we took them in - now it's like they're living in a Penthouse! Oh and congratulations on your Pook.

Cat... our Bear is a Rottweiler/Australian shepherd mix. He is so sweet everybody loves him. Only problem is he thinks he's a Beagle so he loves to crawl up in your lap - but he weighs over 80 pounds! Thank you for adopting from the SPCA. I am sorry to hear your pup has heartworm.

    Nash....LOL - a Spoodle! I am sure that one's a cutie.

Not sure if I am allowed to post a site here, so mod, if not, please clip. I won't mention our site, but will mention the main site that we put the animals on because they have dogs from all over the United States that are looking for homes. It is a great site and easy to search. It is www.petfinder.com. Who knows, you just might find your very own Pook!

We have a snaucker- he is half snauzer and cocker spaniel. Cocker ears and tail , with all the snauzer markings.
    He is just wonderful.
He will be 14 on the 4th of July.
He adopted us outside our motel room in Durango Co.
    His name is Durango.
Sleeps a lot now, has tumors, but we dont think he is in any pain at all and that is one of the reasons hubby and I can't travel, we will not leave our dog and he has never been in a kennel. All the kids have pets and busy lives.
So when it will come to treasure hunting, it will be me. So give me a wave kids.

    Leekel,

What a wonderful thing you are doing with the site and trying to find homes for these wonderful animals. I applaud you, Cat, Rags, and everyone who considers adopting an abandoned animal or one from the SPCA. I really do think that they are so grateful to be adopted and make wonderful and loyal friends!!! I wish you the best of luck, and hope that everyone remembers to spay or neuter your pets. If we can just save one animal by doing this, it is worthwhile. If I happen to find one of the tokens, you have my promise to make a donation to your organization, Leekel!!! And I wish you luck in your treasure journey as well - I have a feeling you will use some of those winnings to spoil those wonderful dogs of yours! Great costumes, too!

Wow, I just knew there had to be a lot of dog people on here.

My 7 year old pook (see avatar) is a recent rescue, as well. The most expensive one yet! She had so many health issues, I spent $2000 in eight weeks to save her life. She's heartworm positive and being treated. The positive side is that she is the perfect dog - no behavior issues at all. Her name is Saoirse (that's Irish for "freedom," which she now has). And she does a good job keeping my 14 year old Irish setter rescue, Fiona, company.

If I win a jewel, I'll get another rescue dog , plus I'll help out some of the rescue groups I deal with here.

I love seeing the pictures of everyone's pups.
