Default Thoughts on the new Clue

There are no intentional red herrings. Posted in March, not April 1.
So your respone to the clue is like....."Okay....so what's news about that ? We knew that. Mike told us this information before."

    Wellllllllll,,,,,,

I SUSPECT MS is going to post a REAL clue April 1. And I think he might have given out this little teaser beause the naysayers were all busily saying....

....well if MS is giving a clue on April 1, is it just going to be an April Fool's joke?

And MS is telling us NOW.... in MARCH....."NO,,,,it's NOT going to be an April Fool's joke."

"There are NO intentional red herrings," he is saying, and he is saying, "and I'm telling you this in March so there will be NO mistake. Anything further I have to say on April 1 will NOT be an April Fool's joke. Comprehende?"

    I love it.

I hope he posts another clue, but I'm not counting on it.

It'd be more than we could really hope for to get 2 nice puzzles on back to back days.

    But I REALLY hope you're right :P

I believe the clue was actually posted on ATT' website on April 1st.

The International Date Line means that many parts of the world were already April 1st, before some of us thought to look on the ATT site for the clue.

We are in the western hemisphere and to most of us it is Friday, but in Figi, it is already Saturday.

I think the method is more of the clue than the actual words. Just my two cents!

While you are obviously correct about the international date line, it seems that the first notice HERE on this board for the 2nd clue showed up at 4:59 pm. Now I would read that as MY time, which is west coast time, as I have my board features set to show MY time on the posts.

That means the first notification HERE was at 7:59 pm Mike's time. Long before his OR my midnite, hours before HIS April 1.

That is an indicator to me that he posted that clue, his time, in March. If you apply the 'golden rule of interpretation', which is:

When the plain sense [...of a matter...] makes common sense, seek no other sense,
I just kinda have to go with that on this one.
