Default The story of my search written in a poem

    Hi All,

I wrote this lil poem based on my search, and the fact that I am on a different trail. I am not a grammer queen so forgive me for any grammatical errors and so on.

    "Once I Knew A Token"

    Once I knew a token
who liked to hide under trees.
He would not come out when I called him,
But instead he would yell this to me:

    "You silly, silly, human.
You make me laugh quite heartily.
Especially when you dig in knotholes,
and look up at branches in trees.

I don't spend much time in these places.
Trees just provide shade from the heat.
Where I am, sweat drips from the faces,
of ones who are searching for me.

I have cousins in very cold places,
who will soon smell summers fresh breeze.

I really like to dance around children,
who trot right along, singing small songs,
    not once...ever noticing me."

So, alas..(sigh) I never found him.
He really likes to play hide and seek.
Having played quite a bit, it is his best trick,
to stay hidden from you and from me.

    C. Brown

"So was I once myself a swinger of birches.
And so I dream of going back to be.
..One could do worse than be a swinger of birches.
    --Robert Frost

    It's a playful poem!

    Thanks for sharing!
