    Default Star Wars Midnight Showing--TONIGHT

    Yipeee!

I'm a certified Star Wars kid. I was 15 when the first Star Wars movie was released, and I feel really lucky to have been alive for the whole 6-movie run.

I purchased 25 tickets and rented Bennigan's for a big blow-out for family and friends.

If any Trovers happen to be in the Monroe, LA vicinity tonight, stop by the Bennigan's from 8pm onward, and enjoy lotsa food, lotsa drink, and lotsa good company!

May the Force be with us....

I can't wait also-- but I will be foregoing seeing it this evening so I can see it tomorrow afternoon with my young daughter. Instead, tonight I'll be sporting my stormtrooper armor in front of the theater, impressing all the kids in line!

I will most definitely be one of the first in line for tonite's midnite showing. El Dorado Hills, CA is the place to be, brand new 1-week old movie theatre too. This will conclude my 6-year-Star-Wars-prequels-waiting-in-line-at-midnite-to-see-a-movie-my-expectations-are-too-high-for journey. Hopefully this one beats out the last two. My expectations are, indeed, high.

Plus I hope to finish The Buried Treasure Game and A Treasure's Trove before I die.

IMHO, It was the best one yet. It back filled and cemented all of the story line. I was about 13 when the original came out. I loved it for it's technical accomplishments, but I have to admit, It took me a few viewings of the original to figure out what it was about. Who was "good", who was "bad", etc. At that age, I was completely unable to understand what would make anyone choose "the dark side" willingly. What would drive someone to that? Well, after seeing episode 3 (and having a few more decades behind me and a wonderful wife and family), it's not that hard to imagine being willing to do anything to ensure their health, safety and happiness. As blind as those decisions may be. I think episode three barely edges out the original in terms of story line.
