Default Don't get too flustered yet!

Although, come tuesday, I may be eating these words... I would like to offer some comfort to those who think this hunt is going to be over in a week. It is true that 2 tokens have been picked up in the same week, but there are ten or eleven more. I know there have been a storm of posts "solution found" or "found token (insert cryptic message here to get someone to go check something out)" but no official, verified finds. I think we still have more time than many of us think. Don't give up until they are officially missing.

    p.s.

But after that, you can give up ... don't turn into one of those "the masquerade hasn't been solved yet!" people

Well, I wouldn't hunt down the dirty bird and cook it yet. I think it will slow down just a bit now because the "count to 5 and pull the string" bit is appearing to be less relevant to some of the remaining puzzles (at least I hope it is!!)..... I mean, we had a Grille cipher for the grasshopper, so there is some hope that Mike isn't a one trick pony.

Then again, I do enjoy looking for things to count to 5 with, my hands do come in very handy for this.

    :c)

I certainly hope you're right destructo. I'm trying to be more grateful for the positives right now. The good time, the reasonable people I've met here on the forums, etc Somehow I can get past drama and other people acting like idiots at times, here and otherwise, but not my issues with Stadther and his book. I guess it's because the other things only affect me if I let them. If all of these solutions end up to be similar, then this hunt wasn't what I thought it was and I think I'll feel like I "lost" something. I'm definately interested in being atleast part investor in any effort you may be making on getting this right, destructo. I would be most interested to hear your own answers to the questions you posted in your thread. You can add an official forum that doesn't suck to the list of ideas

And regarding that grasshopper solution, I am glad to see the grille cipher as an indication that stadther may not be a 1 trick pony, but I'm still troubled by a few things:

Like the other puzzles, it wasn't near where the fairy was pointing on the map fragment (or so I'm told)

Even if you stuck the letters in the cipher (I did that already) you were still left with a garble of letters than anagrammed to an abbreviated park name! I think that maybe if I would have gone back after the discovery of "SP" I may have had a better chance, but then I still would have had to do a LOT of googling for something anagrammed from ABDIJR. I don't think I would have come up with the answer. Maybe there was another hint though. The "N" and "Y" were both light green.

I guess this is getting long and my point is already communicated, so I'm just going to end here.

Awe cheese. Take a weekend off and all H*ll breaks loose! Thank g*d I'm just reading this now. If I had over the weekend, it would have been ruined. Remember all: WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND!! Congratulations to the legitimate Trovers on their finds.
The things that come to those that wait may be the things left by those who got there first.
