Default Is Stadther Writing another Book? WHEN? Is he profiting?

When is his next book going to be released? Is he making ginormous financial profits from the book 'A Treasure's Trove', or is all the money going to charity? Does anyone have this info? If the money isn't going to charity, he will be makng millions of dollars more than he spent on the puzzles and publishing the book!!! He's been on national news promoting the book. The puzzles he's giving away are like 'chump change' to him. What a smart dude!! Let's all write treasure books! By the time people find the treasure, you will have made sooo much muney from book sales, that you can buy your own Spider jewels!@!

I don't know about the second book but he did say that once he recovered his cost of making the book and the jewels, than the rest would go to Charity. BUT, I don't really remember the exact quote from the first time he was on the Today Show, and it seems like he was referring to sales from the book. So all this other puplicity is most likely adding to his fortune. I think it great! I only wish I was smart enough (and rich enough) to put together a nationwide treasure hunt!

Bartmanz, your comment is comparable to saying that anyone that is smart enough and hard working enough to go to medical school doesn't deserve the money they make, or that someone talented enough to be an actor or a pro athlete shouldn't be making so much money.

Mr. Stadther put in years of time plus the intelligence to plan the hunt and write the book. I have bought three books plus the companion book and I feel that I have more than gotten my money's worth. I have had a wonderful time trying to solve the puzzles (fruitlessly, however) and been entertained by the posts on this message board. I think that even if he keeps the money, he has earned it.

I also think that if you or anyone else writes a comparable treasure hunt, you also will deserve the revenue it generates. Go to it.

What is the big hang up people have about money?

I mean, we're all here to get a share of $1M .... so what are these charity concerns all about?

No one is forcing you to give up one dollar, and the only people who obsess over how much money people DESERVE vs. how much they EARN are communists.

As a whole, society idolizes celebrities and athletes... and rarely cares if compensations there are "fair" ... Stadther has no reason to justify his ability to sell books to you or anyone else. He hasn't stolen any money and his success is due to his own ideas and perseverance.

Why don't you spend your time complaining about thiefs, drug dealers, and con men.

Default I have money, not bashing Stadther...

That's exactly what I meant, I think Stadther is wonderfully talented, and it's great that he's created a fun treasure hunt! This book should inspire others to do the same! I think pro athletes, doctors, lawyers, and other professionals deserve the money they make! I love sports, and pay to watch them, many others feel the same, and if your job is that entertaining to watch, of course you deserve the money. I've always had money, and I'm not bashing Michael Stadther for making money. Just wondering what charities the book sales were going to. I give money to three local charities, and volunteer part time with 'high-risk' youth, and I definitely feel rewarded for doing so.

... and too many threads on this subject already, spread out all over the forum.
Why bring this thread back up, almost a month later? This is old news.

Would the mods please start a new folder and consolidate all the 'new book' threads?
