Default How Far Did You Go With This Thing?

Just wondering how crazy with clue finding methods you guys may have gotten.

I think I hit rock bottom when I tried converting the text to binary on the Dream page, back through a crypt-qote from the CB and then putting unused letters in the black spaces on the Dream grid with dandelion pairings for coordinates.

Dude, you have NO idea! I didn't do anything too crazy, but you should have read some of the stuff people were trying over on the ATT official site. I don't even remember some of the way out wacky stuff, but...

    Just to list a few:
    * pulling out the pages and poking holes in the dandelions and then stacking those pages and shining light through them to find 'the key'.
    * separating the ENTIRE book (text) into syllables and using that, somehow, as the coordinates for the 5x5 box.
    * reading the book in the dark with a flashlight.

And by FAR my personal favorite...
*One fruitcake smeared oil on the pages of her book and baked the darned thing so that she could see through it. WTF...

"Besides most of the source readings for my final discernment weren’t even in Spanish. Damned ironic, I thought at the time, but they were in mirror cipher written in medieval Arabic and Latin, and inverted seven times in a cat’s-eye boulder. But that wasn’t so bad. What was bad was that you could only read the manuscript on Sunday mornings between eight and ten-thirty, at which time the pages, if soaked in wine seven hours of Saturday night, would bloom…burst into the perfect script of a Catholic scrutiny, a scorch of earth, an inquisition of flames in the vague forms of secular saints that was three foot high! Higher! Hell, Trotsky’s beard itself was as high as the wall! Besides, I didn’t manage to tie it all in with the decline of the Hapsburgs in the end anyway. It was a thorough waste”

Some of my more blunt methods were kind of....well blunt.

Once I had a friend come over who had never heard of any of this whatsoever. I sat him down turned a bright light on and just slapped p.20-21 down in front of him and said in a loud voice...

    "WHAT DO YOU SEE?!!!!!"
    "TELL ME NOW!!!!!!"

He simply said, "I see therapy coming for you, Chris."
