I agree that "Booger" isn't funny and is gross. However, for some strange reason I find the idea of there being a "Crystal Booger" to be just hilarious.

    *groan*

Reminds me of a verse I say to my kids -

"Don't kiss your honey when your nose is runny,
Your friends think it's funny, but it' s not."

I hear that MS is already planning the third ATT book - the new character in that one is named Belch!

I don't think so. Pook is male (the text repeatedly uses "he" in reference to Pook). And, let's face it, "Booger" pretty much has to be a boy name rather than a girl name

So, unless the author is intending to stir up a whole lot of controversy, I'm guessing that Booger is not Pook's mate . Except perhaps in the sense of mate=friend or buddy.

By the way, apparently this forum subsitutes the word "happy" when we type the word "ga_", hence my re-writing of the above to omit references to potential controversy due to "ga_ doths".

Hmmmm, wonder what other word substitutions are buried that we haven't found yet, other than:

    g a y = gay
    f a b u l o u s = quackquackquackquackquackquackquackquack

Well, I don't know about the word-substitutions but I can tell you from experience to use the spell checker at your own risk! It stuck me with a pretty funny word just now when I wrote "Lake Ralphine" on a different thread.

And I agree with you, Unlucky, about Booger not being Pook's mate. I think it's just his friend, or maybe a younger brother. Booger looks like a younger doth. In fact, he kinda resembles my own younger brother! Oh boy, am I gonna hear if for that one!

    Hi all,
I didn't read the whole thread but I thought I'd write this observation, in case no one else had...

Michael Standther's signature at the bottom left-hand corner of the new book is written is such a way that it reads the same if it is turned upside-down-and-backwards. (Not unlike the brands of the Illuminati in "Angels and Demons")

Pretty cool, take a look @ATT
    Cheers! -stormy

    Hi Stormy!

It was mentioned a little earlier. The technique is called "ambigrams", and there is an ambigram server that I just ran across today. It's a little rudimentary, but still fun.

    Here's a link:

    Enjoy.

    That's pretty awesome, hollyhill, thanks!
If I ever have to sign a work of art or something (or maybe just my notebook doodles) I'll use the supercool ambigram of my name.

It will be awesome if this is ANOTHER treasure hunt! Can't wait to see the details behind this.
