Default To Buffy the vampire slayer fans

Isn't it funny that the key to solving these puzzles was a 5x5 matrix? Faith was always saying "Hey everything's 5x5 B." And all the other characters were like "What the heck does 5x5 mean?" Haha I am the biggest Buffy fan and the key to solving the puzzles was coming out of Faith's mouth the whole time, 5x5. Sheesh how weird is that?

While I'm also a fan of Buffy, I believe 5x5 is a military term. I'm not sure what it means, but my husband and several of his military friends occasionally use it in casual conversation. Most of his terms are acronyms, though. I'll have to ask him about it...

One other obscure reference... if anyone has ever played the PC video game Starcraft, the transport ship pilot always says, "in the pipe, 5x5". Well, I've been a fountain of useless knowledge for the last few days.

That reference "in the pipe, 5X5" was also used by the female pilot in the Aliens movie. I love Buffy and I could never figure out why Faith always said that.

Well, my husband just explained "in the pipe, 5x5" to me, but I didn't really understand his explanation. Basically, I think it refers to an air pilot's zone of safety when artillery rounds are incoming.
