    Default The Piano Man Mystery

I am intrigued by the fact that the name of the so called 'Piano Man' in England is still not known. How can it be? Is it a hoax after all? I just wish this type of problem could be solved here at Tweleve. Then I know it would be solved soon...

Here is a url for those of you who want to know more about this mystery

    http://tinyurl.com/bqnxm

    The basic facts are:
This 20-30 year old man was found in April on a beach in England. He was dressed in a soaked suite. He is mute. He plays the piano extremely well. He is afraid of people. He has smiled once in the last 3 months. And with all the media attention nobody knows who he is...

    Any thoughts about this Twelevers?

Many thoughts, actually! If he's silent by choice, I wonder what he's fleeing. If he's silent because of his circumstances, that's sad on a different level. You just have to wonder about a lost soul like his. I've said it before - I wish to be Suelough and sprinkle fairy dust on the hearts of men, making them whole!

Yes you are right Carol, it seems to be a sad story either way indeed. I am still hoping for a happy ending though. Perhaps that Suelough is on her way down to the UK to sprinkle some of her magic dust...

wondering if he was fingerprinted, i know he most likely broke no laws, so may infringe on his rights in that country. sometimes even a simple ticket in other countrys requeirs a fingerprint on the ticket, seems an obvious thing to check. the print may lead to who he is. a lot of countries want a print on file for check cashing, passports, military, all sorts of things since 9-11.

I was wondering if they've taken DNA samples - compared them to Interpol files.

I had heard about this- I have also wondered what his story is. You would think with all the publicity that the case has brought that someone would know who he is. Hmmm...

yes and no - I have cut the tags from my kids' clothes before. In fact, Hanes started a tagless line of clothes because so many people were cutting them out. it may not be as significant as you think.

Good point Carol. In fact, I have also cut tags myself a few times in the past. But only after the tag caused irritation of some sort.

I just wonder if he became mute after a sea accident prior to being found or if he has been mute for a longer time. If he has been mute for a longer time he must have had many people around him for every day support. And he looks like he has been taken care of well. I have a theory that his family knows about it but cannot afford to keep him. I hope I am wrong because that is so sad if it is true. He might have been kept away from the public for a long time. That seems to resonate well with him being affraid of other people.

I believe this calls for a new type of investigator...a psycho-musicologist.

What kind of music does he play? (besides Lennon and Tchaikovsky) What tempo, what modality? Does he improvise chords, rhythms?

Has someone tried to play something for him that he can mimic? Can he read music sheets?

I volunteer my services as a professional musician/music teacher to travel to England and evaluate and answer some of the questions above...now who do I contact? hmmmmmm
