Default toget ready for Alchemist Dar

I highly recommend all Twelevers get a passport now and learn navigation in a foreign country!! this in to be an international hunt after all!
I am trying it out early! just to be ready you understand!
There is much to be learned about other cultures and the treasure is there whether the token is or not!

having today and this evening experienced SO much here in Thailand - easy to imagine I am treasure hunting!!! the treasure is all around me! everyone here smiles!! and wais! an amazing custom

I haven't seen any trees with knotholes yet - but could Hey MS if you are listening or reading you ought to coming to Phuket!! a great place for a token for a ring!!! I'll come search and leave it for the next person!!! lol
    just a suggestion

ok - excuse the carrying on - I want twollars!!! I want a pet and can't afford it - lol
course today I made a trip to the Post to mail 28 kilos of books and things I didn't need here anymore - to make room for all the souveniers -
(imagine me getting package mostly my laundry ( dirty - but not too - lol) coming in 3 months time if the postmen here are to be believed!!! ) by motorbike!! my first - ever! and when we got behind a bus for a time - me clinging to my huge package and not having a hold of anything else!!!!
and passing a bus into the lane of oncoming traffic - which of course is on the opposite sides of the roads I think should be!!! what adventure awaits

my mind boggles - or is it the 3 glasses of red wine - with the british lady runs this place a couple of her friends?!?!!? am I coherent? oh well -
    as one bloke said -
"bollucks" ??? I am going to sleep well tonight and tomorrow may book a james bond island tour! we shall see

(moderators -feel free to move or delete -I am a bit tipsy but finally having the time of my life and part of the fun is imagining the tales to come when the great group of twelevers starts venturing beyond the continental US) should be one heck of a ride!!! and I can't wait - night all! from a small geo guest house on the Phuket Island Thailand!

more pics tomorrow- when I coherent enough to resize to send here - have some good ones!

    Default Global Hunt

Just wondering, does everyone think The Alchemist Dar will be an actual global hunt or do you think it will be a virtual hunt through the internet like a scavenger hunt from one website to another, picking up clues or based on global positions or something of the sort?

I can't imagine MS expecting us to go traipsing all over the world (although I love to travel). At best, we would have to hook up with peepers in other countries. I for one don't think MS has a jewel or a ring for that matter big enough nor expensive enough to cause me to hop in my car for an 8 hour ride across the US much less hop on a plane to the other side of the world on just a hunch.

With my luck I would come home with the darn thing and they would have to bury me from the Bird Flu or something funky. I dunno, just thinking out loud.

Too funny, benz!! I'm with you on this, though. Not many people would be able financially or trying to get time off of work to go halfway across the globe.

My guess is that "International" means there will probably be tokens in the US, UK, and Canada.

I doubt that MS has the pull yet to really get his project available in other languages. He is making some inroads in the UK with his classroom project, but I wouldn't really think he'd have tokens in very many places.
I caught you a delicious bass.

    Default Tokens

Moscow, that would be feasible, especially if we're dealing with 100 tokens.
    That's enough to share.

good morning! guess it is good evening right now for the us - but here light is just dawning. I am awake - the beds here are hard enough to encourage early rising and exiting of the room to be on to the next adventure. Of course this all makes perfect sense as when you leave the room removing the key and tag form the slot near the door it signals the shutting down of the rooms entire electrical system including the A/C. They have conservation down to a science here! actually its not a bad model but would never fly in the states. Too bad.
Considering the fact the last drink I have had was 1 small glass of white wine mixed with sprite with the British lady a couple of nights ago - and the last before that was a single small glass of champagne the night of the millennium - remember back when some thought the world would end then - or at the leat - they Y2K but would eat the computers all becoming more and more vital to us each day! I think I was raising a valid point ( but not getting quite there)
ok - I admit I ramble - tipsy or not.
what I really wanted to write about though is what constitutes international?
now first off we must consider that MS gets to define that any way he wishes - his book - his rules - of course
(think how so many argue that the tokens are distributed
as evenly as possible' across the continental US is a fiction - that it just isn't so!) (the exact quote from att - 'The gold tokens were hidden in separate locations across the continental USA, and were located so that at least one is within a day's drive of anyone in the continental USA' again - what constitutes - A day's drive? we have been watching and reading this debate since the beginning! Thing is - how many tokens were actually found by people within a days's drive defined in any way and how many were only retrieved because the finder got on an airplane? definitely some needed to fly! not all grant you - and also - how many people did get in airplanes - or even in motor homes and travel great distances to NOT find a token. Those stories also have appeared here and some of those stories are wonderful too. some not of course - the difference in my opinion is the attitude
to try to meander back to my original path....
I imagine MS could technically hide one ring(token) in either Canada or Mexico and fill the letter of the law (rules he creates)
I would like to think he would make an effort to branch out further than North America. Any more people (esp those living close to the borders) hardly think of travel to Canada or Mexico as truly international. I don't think there is much international flavor to that - thought both are beautiful countries of course I myself am hoping very much i can find a clue which leads me to Mexico for the one time I was there I did not have the opportunity to see pyramids - and this I wish to do and eventually will - Dar or no Dar! I also have done enough searching to know that many places across the waters can be reached for less than the cost of a full price ticket from on coast of the US to the other. Tickets to London, Dublin, Paris, Amsterdam etc can be had at some times of the year (from JFK) for less than 500 dollars! I know a company I used to do some work for paid more than this to fly me from Nashville to LA! and not first class
and as for the time - last summer I used a week of vacation to make a 1,111 mile road trip to hunt and loved it. It takes no longer than this to fly anywhere and many - though sure - not all - have at least a week a year to use to pursue leisure.
guess my point is I HOPE there is some jaunting off across the globe. and we should - as the Scouts say 'Be Prepared'
and I can't wait! for the stories and debates to come!!!!

    oh - and pictures too!!!!
    looking forward

ps --off and running now to see James Bond island if I can connect with a group! will take pics!!! (and this time before i get in a long boat I WILL seal my camera in the ziplock - lol - peace of mind in that!)
