Went shopping for a basketball hoop/backboard.

Hung out at new friends' house with families most of the day. Ate Venezualan barbeque. Got the tour of the house they bought (recently moved here from Miami). Enjoyed noting that this house, while it also has McMansion tendencies, puts the one Ken is giving away quite to shame.

Came home to our house, which suddenly feels smaller. Wondered how long/how much it would take to clean theirs every week. Was grateful for ours.

    lol,

    lizzy

hi! spent the day at the Tennessee Renassiance Festival
    Trinue, TN -
    was awesome
an international jousting tournament - human chess match - comedy improv show - loads of music - comedy acts - fortune telling - face painting - henna tatoos (I got my first one this year - they only last a week or two - really neat!) Johnny Phoenix firewalking - greeting the queen - watching belly dancers ( I really need to learn that! ) glass blower(incredible) I am looking for a place to put videos - got one downloaded at photobucket but haven't figured out how to get links to it yet - lol
an awesome time - took my youngest - Zoe - she went gypsy - I went in full costume (peasant) daughter Katie and her friend Jen -dressed in costumes as well - the girls also took their dolls and 1 bear and 1 bunny in a stroller (all also in costume (love those quiet children- lol)
closing day - always the best - and sad to see it end till next year(though planning to try to spend a weekend at the one in Bristol, Wisconsin) one of our favorite singing groups skipped Tennessee this year - sounds like a good reason to expand our ren faire horizons!
we were lucky enough to have our newest son-in-law back from Iraq for his mid-tour break and he and his folks and a sister and neice came from Oregon to see him and they all came along too!
The queen in her closing remarks most gracioulsy recognized all the servicemen and women and familys and thanked all for their service - even knighted on active duty serviceman there
the perfect blend of serious and frolic!
plan to spend all my Memorial Days thus!

I worked an auction all day. Got there at 7 a.m., got done at 6 p.m., got a set of great pyrex baking dishes and bread pans for $6, got to talk with my mom-in-law the whole way there and back 'cause we rode together in my car ( she's great! I love her to death ) and got a really bad sunburn because I didn't think to bring any sunblock with me. Didn't think it was gonna get to 100, but it did. Got home just in time to kiss my kiddies goodnight at 8 ( the auction was in the middle of nowhere- literally ) 'cause they had scool tuesday. Then had some Taco Bell my hubby picked up for me- thank god he didn't expect me to cook. Went to bed early. Very tired, very sore, but had fun just the same.
Why can't they say "Go to this place and here's the treasure. Spend it wisely"?
