    Default Any Tweleve Geocachers?

Hey all- I recently started Geocaching, which is just a blast! I've been sticking to urban caches, which tend to be micros (evil, evil micros) and such, but it's been a lot of fun. I'm on track to hit a total of 30 caches tomorrow and hopefully 40 by the weekend. (My handle at www.geocaching.com is the same, moscow32, if anyone wants to track my progress. )

Does anyone else 'round these parts geocache? Any good stories?

I'm also considering creating a trackable Geocoin, and would love to sponser a Tweleve coin (Mods permitting, of course) if anyone else is interested. Let me know what you think.

    Cheers-
    Brady / moscow32

The Tweleve trackable geocoin sounds like an interesting idea, Moscow. Please tell us more about it.

The basic idea is that we could mint 100 limited edition coins. There are several different places online that can be used. We design a coin, front and back, and submit it. We can get it with a trackable number that lets you watch it go from geocache to geocache (or someone's collection...).

I've looked around a little, and it sounds like we can make a trackable geocoin of standard size and finish for about $4 to $6 each. We can make a non-trackable for about $1.50 less, but what's the fun of that?

Depending on the demand from us Twelevers, the costs can come down a little as the # minted goes up.
