    Default Have you tried Bookins?

I belong to Bookins, the new book-trading website. Honestly I don't know what I'd do without it. It's helping me clear out a whole bunch of books that I don't read / don't need, and I'm finally getting to read some books that I could never get at the library.

I'm sharing this here at Twleve, because I know that others might like the service. So far I've shipped off about 7-8 books with the free postage that I print at home, and recieved 5 new books. The books are free, all you pay is $4 for postage. That's cheaper than eBay!

Full disclosure: If you click the link below and begin participating (read: shipping books), I get points. Right now, I'm doing fine with points, so I'm not really posting this to get referrals. I'm posting because I think it's wicked cool.

    My bookins referral link:

Let me know what you think!

I'm in. I have to get rid of a ton of books, now that I have a college graduate and another in college, and they don't want them any more.

I just grabbed some books to get started. Keep an eye on my list, more to come.

    Thumbs up

    Brady,

Thanks for the tip! This is perfect for me. I've listed a few:

What's really great for me is that some of my family around the country and I trade books and audiobooks, but keeping up with what we have available is tough. I realized that I can post books here just by typing in the ISBNs in seconds, send them the link, and if there's anything they want, I can always pull it from my trade list. So I plan to use it as my personal "finished with" book list as well!

    Thanks again,

    Lizzy

Isn't it great? I haven't found anything about it that I don't like!

Oh, and just so everyone knows and isn't caught unawares, the price of shipping just went up this weekend by $0.50 to keep up with the new postal rates.

Actually, I think they gave the one month warning and postage goes up September 23 or so. Too bad, cuz it does make it less worthwhile for the "mass" paperbacks or kids books.

But I just checked my e-mail, and 3 of my books are already requested. So Monday my mailwoman is going to have a heavy bag, especially if this rate keeps up.
