Default and how is your New Year starting off?

feel free to add "incidents" that either are a foreshadowing for the year ahead, or perhaps just a leftover from a less-than-perfect 2007...

    I'll start....

I recently completed a physical study of what objects actually float...sounds like a Monty Python skit already doesn't it?

    ummm, let's see...

    WOOD...it floats
    DUCKS...yes they float
    WITCHEs...oh never mind

I-PODS....well, I hoped that they floated but coming home from a long day of work I discovered my new one submerged in the dog water dish, and not really buoyant

    GRRRRRR

(to be continued as I madly try to dismantle it and dry it piece by piece)

    pac

P.S. Happy 2008 (or is it?)

Corgi - Free to a good home. Trained, bad hips, bad shoulders, can no longer do anything he was taught. Allergic to everything. Hates everything. Very mean little dog.

Pac - inquiring minds want to know - did you put the ipod in the dog's bowl, or did the dog do it? And were you able to get it working again?
Whatever I feel like I wanna do. Gosh!

HAHA...you guys/gals have me laughing this bright and beautiful Caturday morning, especially since I returned it for a full refund (don't ask don't tell was my motto at the store)

I also upgraded (sort of) to the newer I-touch version I bough my wifey for Christmas (less gigs, more bells & whistles) so I have some serious work to do this cold month to get it up to my high musical standards...LOL

so that answers my dear concerned friend Sue....no it made unruly and primeval sounds when I plugged it into the wall

as for Corgi, dog-trainer extraordinaire, I believe the CAT did it....especially since the dog was crated at the time....hmmmm, do you think she (the dog) may have conspired a bit through cat/dog conversationing?

    pac

P.S. if any of you following this thread want to come up with a SECOND-place creative name for my stricken former I-pod..feel free to post...

    second place 50 twollars
and FIRST place (cannot be beaten LOL) goes to jbell (in a PM to me) she called it the

I-SOD (lovely, jean, and 100 twollars is on its way to you)

My almost brand new LG phone doesn't float in a mug of hot cocoa either, Pac (no, it wasn't an LG chocolate). We still don't know how it landed in there, but it did. Like ipods, shiny black LGs are not buoyant...at all. Upon sighting the mishap, I quickly retrieved the phone, popped off the battery and began wiping off everything I could reach. I then trickled a bit of rubbing alcohol into the nooks and crannies that I couldn't reach in hopes that the drying properties of said alcohol would do just that - dry. It looked hopeless, but my shiny LG sat in front of a fan for the afternoon. I assure you that no other home in the dead winter of Ohio had a fan running today. Within 6 hours the phone was fully functional. I hope that means good things are ahead for 2008.

Those stories are way too funny...isod and choco-phone.

Now checking my house to make sure that everything holding liquid is covered.
