    Default URGENT!!! Help please!!

I moved to SC to start a new job at a boarding kennel. The job included an apartment for me and my dogs.

The job isn't going to work out and now me and four dogs are in SC and we have nowhere to go. I can find a place for me to live, but I urgently need to find somewhere to put my dogs until I can get a place where they can live.

Anyone on the east coast - between SC and NYC, especially - that can take a dog? I'm willing to split them up, so no one needs to take all of them.

None of them get along well with other dogs. I'll leave their crates and their food.

What breed are the dogs? Have you tried contacting breed-specific rescues? You may be able to find short-term foster homes through the rescues.

2 of them are corgis, 2 are malinois.

I haven't tried contacting rescues yet, I did put word out on a couple of dog message boards I'm on and I called a few people I know in the dog business. Great idea though rusty, I'll keep it in mind.

How are you making out finding homes for your dogs?

    Thanks for asking, rusty.

I do have some people that could take in dogs if needed. I had an offer of a house for rent -- a whole house!! -- and at the last minute it fell thru (GRRRR).

Right now I can stay at a friend's place and the dogs can stay in the back yard which is OK for short term and it keeps the dogs with me. Everything is still uncertain.

Also, the friend's place I'm staying at right now doesn't have internet, so I can only get online when I find my way to somewhere with wifi access.
