Just super windy where I am. We'll see what the morning brings!

Thanks, and I too hope everyone closer to the coast than me got out safely.

The road in front of my subdivision has been bumper to bumper of cars leaving Houston. I am not going anywhere tomorrow.

I'm not getting anything in Austin...no wind or rain *knock on wood*
I had to stop and get gas after work and every gas station I passed, there were at least a line of 6 cars per pump...it was ridiculous.
Gas went up 8˘ overnight! Thank goodness I am a member of Costco. Stopped there for cheaper gas and no line to wait in for gas!

WOW! Ike seems to have taken his toll on eastern Texas. Reports are that Houston is without power. Hope it comes back soon and pianoman can let us know he is OK. Looks like Austin may have gotten some of it too.

The path of Ike's continued wrath does not look too good either.

Hy heart and safe wishes go out to you all.

Let us know you are ok when the opportunity allows it.

In Austin, all we got was 10mph winds. A nice cool breeze!
If it would have gone another 30 miles west, we would have seen some higher winds and rain. Hope SnowQueen is OK. I know her area in south western Louisiana was expected to get a part of it around the time it hit the Texas coast.

I'm fine. I am in the same area as Netsirk. We were told to expect 90% chance of 1-2 inches of rain with wind up to 50 mph.

Ike veered north instead, and we saw not even a sprinkle. Maybe 20 mph winds.

Too bad, as this part of the world is dried up. I think our city has a rain repulsor barrier around it. (I say too bad, because we needed rain, but I say thank goodness we weren't flooded like Galveston.)
