Thread: back from lala-land

hey everyone and a Happy belated New year and a very belated Christmas wish!

We went to the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl to cheer on the hometeam (Penn State) to no avail....and I was too busy driving around LA county and Phoenix to get online last 2 weeks!

I should have solicited help with tips for getting around in LA and driving the freeways before I left...but, Garmin nuvi took care of most of that.

(What was it like in the old days? Folding and re-folding maps while you drove!!! LOL)

Sounds like a good trip in any case! I haven't been to L.A. for a long while now - not sure what it would take to lure me there again! I mostly prefer foreign travels - though I am thinking of a trip to the 4 corners area for a random road trip later this year!
Just glad to hear you survived the trek - the roads there can be ever so much more than 'interesting'! I remember seeing a fancy sports car of some sort balanced precariously up on the median barriers one day my last trip out there - must have been a 'heckuva'. I was glad I didn't have to do any of the driving then! Happy you returned safely home!

California was never attractive to me after having visited LA.

But I'm glad you had fun!! If you did, that is.

Christmas here was----erm----eventful.

But it all worked out okay.
