we had high winds yesterday to add insult to injury around here! lots of limbs hung in treetops since the ice storm came down yesterday! i had to dodge flying trampoline on one road! crazy! but power is restored to most - though i have two friends still without power - one should have it by the 20th and one of my myspace friends the first week of March - clean up continues in Kentucky! hope all are well

This Texas peep hasn't heard anything about fires in the area...

We are projected to be in the low-mid 80s for the rest of the week - wish I could spread around the warmth!!!

OK....I give (I am addressing Old Man Winter)

the last 2 days we had snow (not a foot like along the E. coast); enough to slide home from school though (NOT cancelled...grrrrrr)

and a stiff enough wind to make dog-walking my "slow-to-choose-her-spot" collie a downright nightmare

this morn, the temp hovered around zero (without windchill)....and let me guesstimate one

    about 20 below!!??!!

I now refuse to turn the heat on inside, unless my coffee cup is too cold to pick up in the morning....this morning, inside temp 52

home from work today...inside temp 51

oh by the way, how do I survive? well, I just read a brutally creepy and cold book (based on an historical event)

    "The Terror"

after a ship frozen in Arctic ice for nigh on 3 years, my probs are irrelevant......LOL

WOW pac. and I thought the -6 this morning was bad.

thanks for making me feel better!

stood on my driveway this morning and looked to the skies to commune this with mother nature....................

    ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!
