Yeah, I got totally screwed up when my book arrived this morning. All of you are correct, it's 136.22.

Tweleve is blocked as 'Entertainment' at work, so I couldn't post earlier.

I'll try to be more circumspect in future posts.

Fortunately/unfortunately I have a quasi-partner in this hunt, so I can't simply post every thought I get, like I usually do, because it wouldn't be fair, but now maybe it'll keep me from posting incorrect conclusions.

Anyway, I'm working on a lead that's about as far away from NC as it can be, but so far looks very correct, so I'm hopeful. Really, you only live once, so if you get the answer that the treasure is in Alaska, and it looks perfectly correct, go for it.

I would also like to see this thread given its own space, with floor levels one thru thirteen. Thanks.

I don't have the book, so if you could give us a list of what you would like, we'll get on it. Nice to see some good hunts going on!

11th Floor. Some have theorized -on the plethora of other sites that have wikis and message boards(see gus twintig site for links)- that this floor is Indiana or Illinois. Since there are many promenant numbers on this floor, I like this to be some straight LAT/LONG decoding.

If you take the price tag on the ICE BOX of 89 or the $90 frm the cash on the table, you get a solid LONG line that runs through Illinois i.e. -90.77089 or -89.90770. Assuming you could figure out the order. On the flip side, the 770 could be the first part of the LONG i.e. -77.090199 and it sticks you in the Pennsylvania region.

I say this just to see if it inspires someone to flirt with these number in this way.

On that note, make sure you write down the "range" of LATS and LONGS for the lower 48. I made note that moving East/West looking at Longitude lines I will only consider numbers that fall between 124(as far west as one could be) and 68 (as far east as one could be). Of course, when ploting these, dont forget the "-" before the number as in -124.000123.

And working the Latitude lines for the lower forty eight the range is approx. 25 to 48. LAT is tradionally easier to spot in a puzzle because the range is smaller. Outside that you are saying "Eh?" or "Hola" or cleaning up a spill in the Gulf. I think this is why the 770, 90 & 80 sparked some intrigue as they fall in that LONG range. And then the 3.99 only works for LAT as 1.99 is out of the range.

Just some thinking and typing this early AM so maybe I'll have or give an AH HA moment. Doubtful but you never know.

Sorry, I do not have my book with me for the exact details...

    I would also add:
    Front cover
    Page 1 and 2 story
The last two pages, two headings
    And the back cover.
