    Well, something is hiding in that toilet. Since there's no refridgerator, it could be where he keeps his beer cold. I'll assume it's the zucchini for now.

    Default LA Clue (approximate)

    On Twitter, someone expressed uncertainty but posted the LA clue as, "The clown knows..." I don't know whether the clue was shown in writing or provided verbally.

    Online comments have interpreted this as "Clown nose," and expressed theories about the sign indicating the height limit for the Whizz-bang ride.

    My thought for the day: If all tenants have garbage chutes, as indicated by Krieger on Floor 2, then why do the children on Floor 8 have to argue about taking out the garbage?

    Default Hunting Rifle

    Has anyone been able to locate the missing Hunting Rifle on any of the floors? the closest I have seen is what appears to be a barrel of a rifle sticking out from the play room with the Hamster.

    ???

    I think the consensus is that's it. I'm wondering about the theory of the zucchini being on the 6th floor. Isn't there a lavender bubble shoe peeking out from under the couch?

    Default Tears into smoke, pigs into pants, etc.

    TEARS R --> M
    TEAMS A --> O
    MOTES T --> K
    SMOKE

    PIGS G --> N
    PINS +T
    PINTS I -- A
    PANTS

    EMERALDS M --> Y
    DELAYERS D --> B
    BELAYERS R --> L
    EYEBALLS

    Firewood to Laughter is proving to be a challenge. I had some luck working backword (so to speak), but am now stuck. Here's what I have:

    FIREWOOD
    .
    .
    .
    AUTHORED O --> G -or- OUTRAGED O --> H
    DAUGHTER D --> L
    LAUGHTER

    I don't see a pattern (yet) in the changed letters. The transition from pig to pants uses the letters in the word "giant".

    Silly me! I just realized it should have been tears into clouds. So much to do!

    Mayor,

    I really like that. I hadn't tried working on the transitions in the text.

    Thanks for sharing that.

    For your efforts, I reward you with a headache:

    'The Clown Nose'
    'The Clown Nos' (plural of 'no')

    It's a simple substitution that's not so simple.

    Made a quick trip with the girls (ages 6 and 9) today to a couple of potential, if overly obvious, sites within striking distance. Nothing found, but anyone coming behind us will be able to tell that we were there. There has to be more information gleaned from the interrelation between the floors and rooms.

    Doc, you are so good to me! Do you think Gus T. is telling us that the book's ends (front and back) could aid our search? Nice to have confirmation, isn't it?
