nope..I think not. 1984 was a wacked year.
I'm giving it a watch now, hoping it will shed some light on matters.
nope..I think not. 1984 was a wacked year.
So if some of you weren't aware, there was a youtube teaser video about the cursed clock, and towards the end of the bit was a mention of the movie Canonball Run II. Why wouldn't they just say Canonball Run?..why the sequel? Is it something to do with it coming out in 1984?
I watched the movie yesterday and just realized another possibility: towards the end of the movie, the Sheik who sponsors the race across the country for 1 Million dollars in prize money, decides to DOUBLE the prize to 2 Million dollars. Is a similar announcement going to take place with this book? What if the finding of the No.12 "catalyzes" an announcement from Roy Dodge that although people may have beat him to the locations of the 12 numbers, there is an even greater prize to be found related to something Mr. Ternky wasn't telling us?
I find it interesting that Gus Twintig's latest blog posting included the youtube Mockumentary "Mystery History" video. It's listed as Ep. 308...does that have any significance? It seems like it does, but I can't place it just yet.
Curious.
Think 'legs' on tenth floor.
It can't have anything to do with that floor. The "legs" came out to be 307, not 308.
A good reference to clocks and to the periodic table is that 308 is the Kelvin melting point of Cs, Cesium-133 has an application in keeping extremely accurate time, hence the name "atomic clock".
Still can't find any relevance to Cannonball Run II. Maybe CR II refers to the chemical Cr(II), Chromium, which has a the ability to form a quintuple bond as Cr-Cr under extremely bulky ligand conditions. Wow, 5 bonds!
My husband and I were discussing the same thing yesterday. I think that if an announcement is made, it should come after the next number is found (should be Quello and the 6?) - that way, no one will have thrown away/torched their book yet. Since the Khroniker itself wasn't stolen, what could it be?
Shortly after the 12's discovery, Quello reveals his true form as Hermes Tresmegistus the greatest Alchemst of all time. Immortal from his mastery over the philospher's stone he summons a kelp-seaweed mummified Friendly Jerome from the depths of the Bermuda Triangle to recover the Khroniker's missing numbers. Soon after Mummy Jerome sloshes out of the building, Roy Dodge arrives wielding a bullwhip and holding a crystal skull and battles with Quello who is wielding an emerald sword. Both perish when Quello's machine overloads and blows the top off of Ternky Tower. Surviving the blast however is the skull and sword and that begins a new mystery to unlock their secrets by finding the location of three ancient rubies (one for each of the skull's eye sockets and one for the emerald sword's handle). Find the rubies before Mummy Jerome finds you and unite them with the skull and sword to put Jerome and the curse of the Khroniker to rest once and for all.
Once again, Gus comes to our aid with his jovial food urges and his unmatched confidentiality. This time our hunt takes us to state parks and requires cracking strange never before seen ciphers, haiku, and the need to view all those really old B for bad monster movies in order to assemble the proper coordinates.
How's that for a thrilling next phase?
