What could "K through Five" possibly refer to?

The first Kindergarten school was supposedly started in Columbus, Ohio. Friedrick Froebel, could he be our "FRITZ"?

I know there was some discussion about colors, GYR and RGB, but i didnt pay attention at the time. Now I see a better case for that angle and only now am i learning the terms additive and subtractive in this context. Apparently the primary and secondary colors have different properties depending on whether we are talking about light (like a tv screen) and paint as on a canvas. Probabably everyone else already new this. I find it very interesting that the combo of all colors in light makes the color white, and in the form of paint it makes black.

    erexere-
I have thought about the "It's all right there in Black and White" statement, made in reference to finding the #6 on the 12th floor. Now I wonder if it refers to 1) the blackboard on the 1st floor and/or D'Grnp's apartment -both he and the apartment are all black and white.

Chaulkboard, or newspaper would be the first thing we'd assume. 6th floor or the person Bert himself in white and black attire, next, but if this additive or subtractive quality is considered, then "black and white" is inclusive of all colors.... Another less literal view would be the idea of justice or law and an inference from that might be to consider 'Gray' as the final deduction. A "middle-ground"...7th floor is the halfway part of the building.

On the 8th floor, Dodge and Gus are talking "In my experience, the only people who leave red hankerchiefs behind are magicians and matadors." A: WIZARDS and BULLS.

There are many ways to focus on a location. SHM was the method for 12 rest areas. "23 GLYPH ST." is a simple city address for Ternkey Towers. Many colors in the book, but is there a code? Red and Green are used in peculiar ways. Im most certain of the color Green. The green phone, the greens on 4th floor, the green George Washington on 11th. Emeralds. ...and lemons, why not limes, wouldnt that be better?

Oh, and all the fridges...appliances? Cold/frozen things? Or possibly a clue representing another common kitchen appliance, like the stove or RANGE? Rhymes with Orange comes to mind...

How about Township and Range? Im in 90% certainty-land when I say the book leads to Bath Township Park. The question is why? At this stage, "bath" clues have served their purpose. The newly attained information and what looks like a dead end as a scheme or cosmic joke is the ironic contrast of a Fire Station in the pentagon shaped location that is also said to be an appliance and refrigeration repair business. Is it a game of "hot and cold" or is it about Township and Range? Also, section is needed. I believe SHM is done with and now it is about TRS -township, range, section.
