This hunt is really buzzing behind the scenes. I figure we'd have this thing cracked if everyone would post their last 5 PMs. That's my random way of saying that if we had the right information we'd have the right answer.

Cw090, is it okay if I leave off the 9? Anyways, I happen to think you have something intriguing with your approach. Take 50 states and see if we can link the "5" to it in some way. The straightforward approach of eliminating statees already having a find, counting the magnifying glass, leaves us with 37 more eliminations. That's a lot. If I consider only statehoods having only a "5" in them we have 5, 15, 25, 35, 45, and 50. Any of those states seem interesting?

Long time no post. I don't think you could rule out the SHM pattern that the other solutions have followed, simply because Dodge knew about it and may have decided to use the same method. I think the fact that the magnifying glass was left behind was to draw us to the reference in the book where Dodge indicates that if he came into a fortune, he would drop the magnifying glass, move back home to Washington, and fish everyday. Of course, Washington is non-specific, as it could refer to the state, DC, or some other city.

If you want a wacky idea related to this line, you could do some word rearranging and mae it move back to Washington home, which would be Mount Vernon. As it is on the Potomac River, plenty of good fishing there. It is not a national park though, and unlikely to be the location.

I think the full answer is somehow on the 13th floor. I took a break from this for a while to get a fresh look. I would really be surprised if the answer didn't include Washington at some level.

What do I do with a solve (using the SH), and the Dodge clues,
along with the online video and the hints from Idaho??

Of course I can not verify it without being there, but its a nice tight
package... I believe I have found the man...

    suggestions?

Do you mean, Jon Roy Anderson of the band Yes?

Btw, what is your favorite 80's band? McSweeneys has a funny article on that, go check it on their site for laugh.

Hi tron. It's up to you, of course. You might want to let people know what state (and possible the general area of the state) you have in mind, and see if anyone will send you a private message offering to search the site. My own philosophy has always been that the person who digs up the number gets to keep it, but I know others in this forum have offered to cover diggers' gas costs with the promise that anything found will be sent to the person who originated the theory and paid for the expenses.

I hope your theory works! I would love to be able to put this book on a shelf and move onto other puzzles.

I wonder if tweleve is any more private and exclusive than the Book's blog/
    website. Probably not.

I do not know how I want to proceed. I do not want a lurker to run and grab it
as opposed to someone who has been working their butt off for the last two
    years.
I have a lot of thhings i can post, but as long as I keep the state to myself,
I have some type of control on how this thing is retrieved.

Seriously, once I give the state out, I fear a foot race.

I am thrilled with what I've got and feel cathartic on this seemingly to be the
    ending.

    Ok here we go....
I know I am not planning on traveling, but I do not
habor anyone is more or less deserving for this esp.
    after more than two years....

Also, please know that this is my theory and has not been
verified by anyone and I am not going to relase all of my
confirmers, but I'll give everyone a huge shove...

I have found Roy Dodge (as we were challenged to do in Idaho)

    follow the link...

Amazon.com: Michigan Ghost Towns, Lower Peninsula (9780932212641): Roy Dodge: Books

    Netscape Search

with this... you need to use the clues already discovered in the book (from the other solves)
(not all of them mind you) but the solution generally takes a clue from every floor.

Roy found the method tenats used, he determined that he was going to steel the
numbers, and then he used the already drawn scenes (in his red chair) to determine
where he was going to re hide it.

I am not going to tell you about the Marshmallows (just yet) but they have fallen
on the curse of the tweleve... find it to save them.

Also, if you fingure out who Fritz is (was), you'll get a huge jump on others.

    good luck... take pictures.

Very exciting, tron! This could be a huge breakthrough. Your link entitled "netscape search" doesn't work for me. Could you give a hint about where that link was supposed to lead, for those of us who are having technical difficulties?

same link as the above one except with two to three more volumes.

You can find them on Amazon.

The two day head start is over.

I posted the clue over at TCWAF.

(Did you figure out who Fritz is?)
