    "5"....Roman Numeral "V"?

    CAT V....Community Antenna TeleVision?

I'm thinking there are some crazy Acrostic puzzles associated with book, nothing more complicated than that. The Rail cipher used with FRITZ IS JUST A BOY was a great clue, something poignant and also something to say there's a simple cipher involved somewhere in this...acrostics/acronyms.

Sorry for string of posts, have a migrane headache and trying to open up some ideas that interested me in my search for answers.

SDI, "Star Wars", MAD. March 23rd, 1983

The name of a Rhesus monkey astronaut, SAM, might be a link to a clue about the early developement in missle defense after US Navy suffered German attacks with the "Fritz X" radio guided anti-ship missle. Clues about missles are hard to ignore in the book (see 11th floor), this is just one of many directions we could take this, but it becomes compelling with the 9th floor themes. The monkey clue is tougher to justify. You have to resolve the candy connection and the halloween colors.

I returned to the book to see what i might discover that could give clues. I believe Gus captures ALL the clues we need. I believe a series of deductions are determined through careful examination of each resident, and that includes Bevel. The Book isn't our only source. If the information comes from Gus, then it must be examined as a viable source. Gus published his notes, tweeted, and blogged. I might have been too hasty to consider Chancethegardner or Dooley as a clues. The subtle difference between inspiration and clue is what puts us off track.

I noticed Ida's hair just now. She has a stalk of Asparagus, a fork, a tea cup a couple pencils and a bow ribbon in her hair bunn. Asparagus seems like a clue to something. How could it be a deduction? It is mentioned by the old man portrayed by Peter Ustinov in Logans Run. Logans Run is written on the 9th floor bathmat. Asparagus is the name of a special cat. Do these items form a clue about a cat being involved? What could be the aim then?

I see many cat references litter the pages of the book. Even the pirate flag design on the Glyph page is Calico Jack...a reference to a type of cat with a specific genetic trait. Also, I've found a very fascinating connection between Ustinov and Daylight Savings Time and the Oct.31st birthday of Scott Teplin. Its all very suspicious behind the scenes...

One of the many questions that might concern us might be about the "L" clue. It appears on tbhe 7th floor in what might just be a trap door. The No.7, which looks like a rotated "L" was found with 7th floor clues. There isnt any way yet to say what this means but it does suggest that I am linking the number with a letter or symbol. The No.12 is visible in the shape of a machine on 9th Floor which was confirmed to hold the location clues to finding the No.12. I don't see this as a reasoning to say there is a sure link here but I do wonder if it shows any connection at all to the "stolen" items for each resident. 7th floor lost bubble shoes, found on 6th floor. 7th floor contained the unicycle from 6th floor. 9th floor lost antigravity boots found on 1st floor. 9th contained the 12-headed statue from 3rd floor. I don't see a discernable pattern in that. I wonder if 9th floor also contains a magnifying glass missing from 1st Floor, see to the right of the pink donut. That DOES resemble a pattern. It suggests exchange. 7th and 6th are linked and so are 9th and 1st. I have a notion to explore this like the flipside of a coin. 6th leads us to the No.5 and 1st floor leads us to the No.4. No.5 is described as a piece of white stained glass stolen from a sheik's sixth son. The No.4 looks like a weathervane, sharing the description attributed to Roy Dodge. Is looking for Dodge shared somehow with clues related to the No.4 from 1st floor?

I'm 99 percent certain Travis Pupkin is under hypnosis. Roy Dodge was the hypnotizer and mastermind through Pupkin as vessel.

I dont recall it being discussed that the moon boots tucked in the corner behind Pupkin's desk are a better fit for "anti-gravity" boots than the green froggy galoshes on 8th floor. Same goes for the magnifying glass. There's a large one on the drafting table on 3rd floor but there's a tiny one on 11th floor. I like to consider the 9th floor magifyer as its under disguise as a piece of Betamax.

I thought of another reason to explain Pupkins swirly eyes. Instead of hypnosis it might be a clue about records which have a spiral groove. The phonograph from 5th floor, found on 12th, could be a clue about Emile Berliner. He made the early gramophone and sold to RCA in 1929. The name Berliner is also the common name for doughnut in Germany. His grave is in Washington DC.

Unfortunately, I havent a clue how to take this idea further. I'm still interested in the Cat theory, which compels me to consider the reason for the TS Eliott reference. Perhaps the point of it is like Rosemary's Baby and we use the anagram of that TOILETS to further the scope of our search.

Now I've already completed the task of using the Toilet reference to connect Marcel Duchamp with the Fountain and I've used that to determine there is something especially important about the Benson Bubblers in Portland. This might establish our next step in the search to be Maryhilll Museum which is related to both the Bubbler and the fact that Duchamp was big into chess.

One of the inspirations of TCWAF was an author named George Perec. From what I gather, he used the "L" shaped knight move to shape the path ofminvestigation into the lives of the enants in a building by visiting every square exactly once. Perhaps I need to research this further. This chckerboard idea might apply somehow.

I've always been hopeful that I was on the right track. Today I discovered something with lots of potential. Jon Anderson, if anyone recalls claimed tomhave found the 12 on the wiki. The post was removed when determined to be a hoax. The ip address linked to the post was from Indiana. Awhile later, Gus posted Popper's discovery...all of which was an odd and unsettling business that had the smell of progressive art and architecture wafting from Roy Dodge's calling card.

Jon Anderson is the top man in the band Yes. He formed a shortlived band in the late 60's called The Party.

An entirely different line of crumbs led me to watch Blake Edwards 1968 film of the same name. It starred Peter Sellers in the role ofnan Indian actor named Bakshi. A fscinating lateral link is Ralph Bakshi the animator responsible for the Lord of the Rings animated films also made Fritz the Cat..oh boy, was he a boy, but definately not a child orriented context.

I think this is a crucial comparison:
