The word "along" should be two separate words, "a long". There is also a grammatical error in this same sentence. There should be a comma after the word ago.

    Was this done intentionally?

I'm stayin out of this but you do have a keen eye for things.

(I am staying out of the conversation, but you do have a keen eye for spotting things in the story.)

    You'll need it.

I think his language is derived from the consumption of Vino.

    Lafittte,

How funny! My eye is keener when I consume vino. Maybe we should get together and consume mass quantities and solve this thing!

Oh crap, now there you go, you have discovered the "key"...wont be long until this thing is solved now.

BTW...in case anyone is totally following these posts...by my estimates there are only 42 people working on this hunt. That's a pretty good shot at $1000, for now. I dont know how many more books will sell so not to worry.

Well, if we could stir up some excitement, perhaps we could attract more people to the hunt. Not many people are posting. Why is that do you think?

Well, I as a newbie am not exactly sure of the "etiquette" of this whole site beyond what I've gathered reading posts. (The FAQ button doesn't work for me, but seems there is some unpleasant history with prior hunts). I understand we are not supposed to give away answers. At a minimum we need to use spoiler tags. Discussion of theories is encouraged. But on this hunt, I assume posting here is the way for the Cowboy to monitor our progress (refer to BANDIT section). So, if I decoded a layer on one of these puzzles but want to talk about what it means or what to do next, do I post that I solved it, just post a hint on the approach proactively, talk obliquely about it so only those that are at the same point understand, or wait? Also, is it polite to ask others for hints on solves they've made? I guess I err on the cautious side to not rile any feathers. That's my first thought on your question.

BTW, keep up all the good ideas and insights.

I say all the above. But, I am not "monitoring" it per se, it is cool to be able to read thoughts about it on here. A nice privilege I dont have with folks that have bought the book but arent twelevers. The way the group works is astonishing but I always think about what is NOT being said, that is the real treat.

    Cheers!

I also still think the bulk of the folks are still hanging on to WLOG and TCWOAF. Those came out at a bad time for COWBOY...or maybe COWBOY should have come out of the shoot earlier this year...? Anyway, have fun. Post away. Do as you will. Sorry for seeming crazy about open posts earlier. You must have some idea how having a new hunt must have wacked out my mind.

    Cheers,

    Domino

Domino- Yeah, it must be pretty fun watching how we approch the various clues or read too much into them, yet pretty hard to sit back and just let us work it through! I do think you've made a wonderfully fun puzzle, and I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. It's always exciting for me when a prize could possibly be in my own state. I'm surprised too there aren't more folks since there is an actual prize hidden in the ground (compared to some hunts which seem to go belly up after millions of wasted hours). It may also be that it's just the Fall when school and activities restart for those of us with kids. Perhaps when the cold weather arrives we'll have more people up north that curl up with a good puzzle book!

Thanks for weighing in. Looking forward to keeping at it,
    Brian
