And this is pretty much true of all the unusual letters (bolds, italics, caps..underlined...)

    Or so it seems...

Okay... just moving here for a change of pace... If we look at those unnecessary capitol letters - there probably aren't enough words that contain them to make this a steganography Baconian thing even using B=words with unnecessary capitols... In fact, even if we use All the Caps words, it doesn't really give us enough. So we are left with anagramming them straight up. Deciphering them using some key. Deciphering them and THEN anagramming then (which would necessitate an absolutely clear key and process). Using them as spacers counting words or letters betwixt. Using them as the way to align certain other words... (so that OTHER aligned words could be found...) Or what?
Deciphering is getting rough and puzzle hard, with one too many "k's" in that letter sequence above.

I've found myself looking at page 5 again. When the book first came out, I was convinced that the actual artwork had something to do with the location, or the artwork itself had hints or clues hidden in the drawing. But Domino has said othewise. So I am taking another look at this small section of the artwork on page 5. I start to ask myself lots of questions. Why is it there? Why is it placed in the center of the page and to the right? Is it the placement that is important? It has been rotated. That must be important. Why? It has also been enlarged from the two cowboy drawings at the beginning and end of the book. Is having that smaller piece made larger important? Maybe it is not the size of the drawing that is important, but the amount of text on the page. Is it critical that it was the bottom left of the original drawing that has been "cut out" and used again? That would be the SW corner that was cut out. But then again, why was it rotated? It was rotated the same way the compass was rotated on page 33...So that W is now at the top. On page 9 the "GO WEST" arrow is pointing South. To correct the GO WEST sign, we would have to rotate it clockwise. Are these all related some how?

If the actual drawing is not a hint, then it has to be something about the part that was removed, its placement, its size or its rotation. Or any other ideas?

Or West = South... so if a puzzle tells us to say walk ten steps south, should we really walk ten steps west?

Thanks, Domino. I ignored K in Karma and okayed the J in Juvenile. I got...
GZEONEBKOIADWMAAYJ ... I got a BONE or NEB but will anagram and see what's what and/or try another approach. Yeehah!

Good question Professor Tarr. There are a lot of things here to confuse us and send us off into different directions!

As for the letter sequence, I am glad that was clarified, as I wasn't sure if the K in Karma was to be included or not.

Coming back around to the hint that inferred to Check All Possible Solutions utilizing the phone number with a missing number, is it possibly referring to the page in Rodeo Days with all of the added Capital letters. The amended phone number may be a key in the arrangement of the letters or a Gronsfeld type application. Nothing though I have tried thus far yields anything but the gibberine language.

I am now of the opinion that it is not the series of letters that is important here....

Why is that small portion of the Cowboy art taken from the larger work, and placed on page 5, and rotated? I put forth early in this hunt that perhaps this was indicating that we were supposed to rotate things in the book. But maybe that is not what the purpose is. Maybe it was just placed here in this shape and form, in order to get the text to align in the way that it did. There are 8 full lines above the "art", and 8 full lines below the "art". Then there are those smaller lines of text on the side of the art. And they only number seven.
