Kind of depends on how you rotate it and where you start... i.e., if you go right around the arch... but yes. I got the same...

The graphic in my book is really light - it is hard to make out the dot pattern in the left and right arch supports as well as the 4 maps to see where the cross hairs are. Not sure how bad I am gonna need these. Maybe Domino will post a version of those somewhere.

    thanks

    Hi Stvxz!

I think the cross hairs go through Kansas, although I don't think that is the location of the treasure.

    Hi Prof Tarr!

The archway could be a railway or road tunnel entrance. The one I'm familiar with in Southern Wisconsin is crudely made. I wonder if it has a name... searching this may lead nowhere, though.

The snake inside may be a significant name of a location or a magic trick made with a ring that comes apart. When you turn it over, the shape to the rings make a figure 8. This may be a mechanical puzzle or...

connected to a gentleman outlaw who was a poet laureate. He ended his signature with PO-8. Makes me wonder how many sound out clues are in this hunt. Domino is so clever. Love this hunt!

    Happy troving.

He actually only wrote 2 PO-ems when he robbed stage coaches. But he ended up getting the reputation as being the poetry bandit or something like that...Then the poor dude got shot in the hand.

    Hey, Beth,

He was the guy you mentioned who was born in England. Didn't he wind up in San Quintin, then disappeared? Born 1829 (close to 1831, but no dice) and died maybe in 1888... (not exactly 1896) just disappeared and presumed dead. If we follow this guy, we'd have to travel to California, I think.

Domino, did you cross the map East to West big time? Everywhere I think the treasure is, I am keenly aware it is not in my own back yard! You are a travelin' man.

    Still having fun.

I have been in all but 4 states, and to most in the last 5 years, 22 of them on foot or on bicycle. Every direction.

Wow, Domino! I'll bet you've never been to Alaska or Hawaii, nor my state of Wisconsin. The Dells are awesome. Did you take your poodle, Charlie with you? Just kidding. Had a John Steinbeck moment. I love to hike!

That is quite an impressive travel log! Forty-six states! WOW! You should offer a prize to who ever can guess the four states that you have NOT been to! Each person gets one guess of four states. You don't give the correct answer until.....say you get 10 responses...or more...you name how many. You can give the winner a ribbon or something from the tweleve shop. How 'bout it Domino? You make the rules...A little side bet.
