Default Looking for a Frequency Analysis tool to handle 500 letters

    Hello Everyone.
I have found "The Code Book" web site by Simon Singh which is great. I downloaded the entire 500 megabyte free CD with High Speed cable and got it up and running.
It goes into detail about many kinds of encryption. Too many to name here.
It has a section on Frequency Analysis and how it is done.
But as yet I haven't found an online "Frequency Analysis Tool" that I can load up to do some of my own analysis.
Anybody know where I can get one?

    Try this:

    1) Cut and past your text into a Word doc.

    2) Use the "Find and Replace" function to replace the single letter or grouping of letters you are looking at with the same sequence, only now formatted in 'bold' or 'italics'.

    3) Hit "Replace all", and just mark down the replacement counter's report.

    4) Then do the appropriate mathematical dance to figure out exact percentage breakdowns.

When done, you can then "Select all" and remove the fancy formating from everything, restoring the document to it's original state.

Slower and annoying than having a nice program, but this method is useful in a pinch.
I originally wanted to do "Where it all went wrong", but 5 days later, this topic nicely dove-tailed . . .
