```page 16 transcription --------------------- can be fed into computer program to do frequency analysis of -number of unique symbols -frequencies of each type -frequencies of components -frequencies of combinations of components -frequencies of components in certain positions key --- a=small white sun b=small dark sun c=small white moon right d=small white moon left e=small black moon right f=small black moon left h=large black sun i=large white moon right j=large white moon left k=large black moon right l=large black moon left m=thick black vertical n=thick black horizontal o=thick white vertical p=thick white horizontal A=cross B=large cross two verticals C=small cross two verticals D=small cross three verticals E=cross thick black vertical F=cross thick black horizontal G=cross two verticals left one thick I=cross thick white vertical J=cross thick white horizontal K=cross two verticals thick horizontal L=cross two verticals right one thick O=large white sun H=horizontal line V=vertical line notes ----- Lower case letters are not specifically related to upper case letters. a and A have nothing in common for example. Some symbols contain others (the containers are all capitalised) Write down the capital letter then follow this by the sequence of contained letters. Transcribe the numbers contained left to right, top to bottom, using dashes (-) for empty spaces in this order: 1|2  or  1|2|3  or  1|2|3|4 - -      - - -      - - - -  3|4      4|5|6      5|6|7|8 If all cells are empty then the dashes can be missed out. o| - - = Aa--c  |c With small symbols (a,b,c,d,e,f) use dashes(-) to give an indication of vertical position: top third        = a- central          = a (no dashes) bottom third      = -a In addition the suns (a,b) are occasionally positioned just above or below the central line: just above center = a= just below center = =a When two symbols are horizontally 'together' (ie bounded by some larger symbol in some way) then join them (eg. Oab). If they are not bounded then treat them as seperate symbols unless the surronding spacing indicates they should be considered 'together' in a consistent manner. eg. Va (line 06 position 03) When two or more symbols (or groups of symbols) are stacked above each other use a divisor (/). (eg. Oa/b). The exception to this rule is when a horizontal line is present (either n or H or p). In this case the divisor can be missed out (eg. a/H/b is shortened to aHb). If there is a large gap between two vertically stacked items use two divisors like so: a//b 01:  f-  E  A-a-a  a  n  l  Ob  Baa--ba  A---c  Ob/b  k  e  V  -f  Aafba  V  -f  -d  -d  -f  b  d  d  d  f  d  b/a  a  e/c  c/e  a/b  m  f  n  a  a  b  a  -f  A  -c  a/b  B-ba-aa  aHa  -Hb  nda  m  Ob  A--eq  Ob  B---a-b  f 02:  Oa  Ob  f  A  aHba  h  -f  h  f-  n  pHn  b  B-aa---  a/f  d/d  h  a/b  V  d/d  f/d  K  E  V  a/b  l  bn  a/d  b  a  m  V  a  aHb  A  -f  Oc/a  f  b  a  b  a  a  HHn  a-N-a  f  B-ab--a 03:  aan  f-  k  b/a  d/a  V  Ob  E  V  B--b-aa  k  a  b  a  abHfd  Vf  f  f  Odf  Baba---  b/f  Aabb-  Ob/a  F  V  a-  a-  a-b  A-b--  Aaaab  abHa  o  m  h  aan  eHaa  a/b  -f  V  -d  -f  C  a  a  b  nH  V  =b  a=  =a  Ob  A---b  f 04:  a  V  A  n  a  V  n  a  a  Oe  Aaaa-  l  a/d  k  V  h  Od/a  k  e-  j  a/b  Vm  b  d/d  l  V  f-  l  c/a  A-b--  Ob  -f  Odd  b  a  Caa----  Hn  V  Oba  b  Aa--a  V  a/a  n 05:  V  Ob  F  Oa/a  Ob  n  Oba  m  V  V  C--b---  a/a  V  h  Of  Aa-a-  Oe  Aaa-b  b  a  b  A  d-  k  c-  k  c-  -b  m  a-  Cb-----  Ob  aaHab  m  m  C---b--  a  a  a  Aacba  f-  l  F  a  m  V  a  a  E 06:  aHa  G  Va  a  a  b  a  C-aa---  n  Oaa  k  V  Aaab-  bcHb  Oba  d/d  -f  k  Ob  a/d  l  b/a  Vm  A-b--  Ob  b  Aa--b  b/a  p  V  l  k  Fb---  a-  b/a  V  f/d  a/a  b  a  Oa/b  pHn  n  b  Oa/c  F  h  n  V  Oa/b  F  Daa--ba-a  -Hb  V 07:  k  c  b/a  a/a  pHn  E  Oa/a  b/a  Aa---  c  F  c  a  V  b  a  Obb  Of  c  d/d  b  k  c  c  c  b  a  a  l  j  h  d/d 08:  V  h  Cb-aa-a  Ob  c-  Ad-a-  d/f  E  aHba  Hb  Oa  pn  h  h  n  Aab-a  Aaa--  a/b  Aaa--  c//f  -d  -f  c/c  bHa  e/d  Ob  Aaa-c  h  h  m  Oab  k  c-  Hn  d/f  f-  l  a-  m  -a  n  A  -a  a-  -b  abHa  o  c- 09:  c  p  Aaaba  n  n  a/a  Ob  Ob  nH  abp  Faa-a  n  a-b/a  pH  n  n  a  m  a  a  Oa/b  Aa--e  f/a  d/d  m  a/b  E-a--  a/b  Aa-ab  c  l  l  j  m  Ob  e/c  bn  m  Oa/a  c-n  Eb---  E  a/a  a/b  E  aa/b  F  a/b  h  b  a  Caa----  l  -c  Ob/a  pn  Ob  Oa/d  n  c  10:  a/a  m  V  a-  m  Bb---ba  Ob/a  Aac--  l  l  b-  a/a  c/d  m  e  l  d/d  b  d/c  l  m  e-  j  Aaeab  b  j  d/d  m  f-  m  d/d  l  e/e  c/c  C-aba-b  Ob  m  Aa---  aaHb  n  L  -a  a-  -a  Ka-a--a  k 11:  V  m  aHb  Caa-a--  baHa  Ca--b--  Ob  k  F  m  h  Ob  Adaa-  e/c  d/f  Oba  e  c  m  G  a-  -a  a-  Hn  a  a  a  m  Ob  c-  Caab--a  Ob/d  Ob  o  m  V  F-a--  -a  a-  -a  m  h  Ob  h  O  V  m  12:  m  Ob  Ob/a  E-d--  baHc  n/n  Oa/a  h  a/d  c-  abHa  pH  n  Aaaaa  h  V  f-  Aaaaa  aan  naa  b  o  aHb  F  Oa/a  m  l  k  baHaa  nH  Oa/b  Oa  F  J  F  a  a  a  m  V  a/b  V  h  A-ba-  Aa-aa  n  a  o  h  m  O  C-ab-aa  an  m  13:  V  O  b  B--aa--  V  e-  l  ban  nab  f-  Aaaa-  b  V  d/d  Aaa-b  f  V  c/c  l  b  V  pa  Bbaa-b-  V  Ab-aa  b  V  h  V  14:  V  h  V  m  a/b  abHba  m  V  f-  -c  h  m  a/a  o  nHn  Oa/b  Ob  B--a--a  Ob/a  k  VV  V  B---aab  l  l  a  a  a  k  V  Ob  Aa-ac  l  V  l  bHa  Bbba---  m  a  a  A  a  a  b  VV  m  V  a-  -a  a-  n  15:  k  Oab  nH  B-ba--a  b/a  naa  Hp  V  Ob  Aad--  e-  c/d  l  E  V  k  Ob  h  -a  b-  m  h  Hn  b/a  m  Oa/b  V  abHa  m  -c  d/e  Ob  HpH  a/a  V  Aa-aa  m  a  Ob  o  Ba---ba  Oba  h  V  HHH  b  Ja-a-  n  a/a  o  a/a  V  f- rules for other pages --------------------- There is another symbol -  a small cross used. Very occasionally a symbol is drawn in bold. This is indicated with an asterisk after the symbol. Any anomalous symbols or symbol groups are dealt with as best as possible and then commented. Eg a/aa/-aa [08]. splitting cross pieces ---------------------- it's possible to split these down into components also.```
Wow that must have taken a long time.
If there only was a program to analyze your transcription....
cool so can this program run through the alpha, like small white sun =
is b.c.d.e.f. ect. or you broke big block and cant tell, or am i not
understanding what you did.
a few hours, pages 17,18 & 19 will be the killers.
i haven't written the program yet but yes, you just parse through the 15 line strings and store all the data and then you could analyse whatever you want. i think it has to be done as a program rather than a spreadsheet because of the ability to break things down to the component level.
what is the frequency of the 40 or so symbols?
how often does small sun appear in top left position?
the total number of symbols, how many unique symbols?
how many moons big and small etc...
how many symbols can be turned upside down?
don't know whether that will reveal anything useful...
i understand it now thank you for explaining
so among those questions can it answer this one
ex. how often does the dark circle and light circle appear
together or a half moon and a cross that looks like a +sign
appear together
After this post I am going to change my name to "average-dumb-and-broken-device"...I am not in the same league as you people...after looking at the printout, the symbols seemed easy!
Apparently no ring for the wife...
Haf, don't hang up your hat yet the fun has just begun. I will never be able to write a computer program but I am determined to find one of these rings....any of them will do. tinyintelligentmachine....awesome job.
