    Default Duplicate Fairies

Three different things became confluent last night, and the little lightbulb went off.

Skyecali began posting the list I'm going to be combing my book for, and I wanted to allow the other topic to stay on-message.

I was in chat a couple of nights ago, and two different people said something at two different times that I 'think' answered a major problem I've had.

I'm a firm believer that the hidden animals are linked to the puzzles/clues that will allow us to find their respective token.

However, I've been utterly baffled by the dragonfly since I've started work on these. At least I can easily identify the puzzles/clues for the other treasures, but I've been clueless for the dragonfly.

In chat, as I was explaining a theory about directions, someone asked me about what I thought was the significance of a duplicate fairy. I don't remember what I replied, but the gist of the answer was I really wasn't too worried about it. I apologize to whoever that might have been--your question kept nagging at the back of my mind.

Later, somebody was talking about the page the fairies on p. 44--the one with the hidden dragonfly that SHOULD be giving us the clues for the dragonfly puzzle. This is the one that I've been cluess about. I think it was Zachster that mentioned that the fairies on this page were twins.

    Ding!

I think the dragonfly puzzle is linked to the 'twin' fairies--the duplicate fairies in the book. Simple, logical explanation for p. 44.

I don't have my book at the moment. Where are the duplicate fairies in the book? I think looking at them may yield some help for the dragonfly puzzle.

I'm sorry Doc... I'm a little lost. How do you get from twin fairies to Dragonfly? Where's the connection?
I'm truly sorry if this is a dumb question. I didn't sleep well last night.

    Not dumb at all, mackadoo.

I might have the page number incorrect--I don't have the book in front of me at the moment.

I'm referring to the page that has the dragonfly hidden in the top left corner--the one with the fairies along its left side and bottom and Pook in the middle.

For all the other hidden animals, you can identify the puzzles/clues rather easily. The directional holes around the square for the butterfly, the colored knots for the spider, the dandelion seedlings for the ant, etc.

All these clues appear on the same page as their hidden animal.

I've NEVER been able to identify the possible clues/puzzles associated with the dragonfly in a simple, logical manner as the rest of these.

The most obvious thing was the fairies, but I couldn't understand how they were supposed to be conveying any useful clues.

The fact that they're twins coupled with the fact that there are duplicate fairies spread throughout the book makes me think the dragonfly puzzle consists of the duplicate fairies and whatever they're denoting.

    Default twins

I noticed that one pair of the twin fairies, aren't so twinish. The pair to the left have totally different wings. What is it with the fairies to the right? Are they supposed to look as if they are part of the mushroom? One looks like she is popping out of it. The other too, with the exception of what looks like her knee behind her.

The other things I noticed about this page are that there are four different sets of mushrooms. There are berries, flowers, thistles and the 2 clovers at the bottom of the page. What are the clovers doing there?
The things that come to those that wait may be the things left by those who got there first.

I think the dragonfly may represent "radio". Reread chapter 3 thinking radio, radio waves, radio stations. Don't have my book with me, but it says he flies "several high-altitude". Usually, radio companies have more than one station "flying" out of the same building. This is referred to as a "sister station". So, you may have 102.4 and 106.8 coming from the same company. Some companies have more than 2, thus the "several".

    Check this out: http://www.koolsandiego.com/main.html

Could this also be why our dragonfly wears those glasses??

Doesn't it also say something about being the "Air Group Leader" in that part of the forest? Perhaps some ratings numbers may help because I'm certainly not saying it's in San Diego, (though it could be). I was just using that station and its website as an example.

now I gotcha doc. I guess I was confused how you decided the twins were the connection and how you thought they worked. But that is the part you're working on . Got in now... thanks for the clarification.

How do you possible concentrate on your patients and this book a the same time?
