Momma- thank you for all of your help- you have been a very generous and polite player- everyone deserves to say a bifg "thank you". I dont ever think I will find a token- but I am addicted to this puzzle and I love the process- thanks again for helping out. I NEVER would have put this together properly- mostly because I think I over and under count the fairies fingers...

I thank you for sharing...but what do you take from, "view the riverboat"???

I think all or some of the locations have riverboats-ferries. I had a location I had figured out before I had this solution and it just confirmed the location I had. I also think locations involve waterfalls.

The way I used it is that you will view a riverboat to find the exact location. If you are at a location and are searching around you will need to be able to see the boat from the tokens location. This would keep you on a definate path.

Just my thoughts. Someone else may think differently. Makes the most sense of the fairies showing you where to go.

I had this revelation about 6 weeks ago....but through a different method than yours. I hesitated to post it since I visited two possible water/ferry sites in NY/NJ and without a definite "exact" location, I got nothing...

Perhaps the "riverboat view" arrangement refers to overlook(s) above the Mighty Mississippi....since the Big River winds through at least half a dozen states, it may hold several tokens...

Yes, I also make the overlook and riverboat connection. Ask yourself what am I to see on the overlook? A riverboat.

I think now the biggest question is how he hid the tokens. That is now going to be my focus.

I believe in my location and have searched it. I don't believe they are in knotholes, but how they are hidden, I just don't know.

Maybe someone will share if they know. Sharing gives you a good feeling. Hint, hint, hint. lol.

As well, there certainly is a riverboat described in the Companion Book? Not sure how that ties to the clue you've unearthed. But it may be there.

I did have trouble getting your coordinates for one of the faeries however.
The third faerie (p.22), how did you come up with 1,1?

Counting just extended fingers or thumbs, on the arm pointing out horizonally the thumb is folded in so all you see is just one finger. All of her fingers may be extended, but you only see one. That is the first (1).
Second (1), the arm extending diagonally, her had is closed but you still see her thumb extended straight.

Beetleboy, I'll take a stab at that one.

The pg 22 fairy is the same exact fairy as the one on pg. 61. I think mommaegerer is taking it as:

right hand is only one finger pointing, second finger, thumb is folded back;

left hand all fingers folded in except for thumb, which is pointing slightly.

Thoughts about the anagram:

In the Companion book,,,,there are some "alikes" in the text re: the Arabia Steamboat Treasure.

The Arabia struck a walnut tree.

A delicate-looking but sturdy walnut staircase spiraled around the trunk of the oak tree, up to the central room.

and...is this the longest sentence in the book at 83 words,,,or just the one with the most semi-colons ?
