Hi Beth,

Page 12, Neptune says "Take this key, a token of my overflowing chest of feelings"

So, one of the interpretations I took was

X T C
X ta C

ECSTASY

There may be some more to it.

Rob

2. I thought of ecstasy a while back. who knows?

How about X marks the spot?
(x) (c) (+) (*)

x is obvious
+ is like a t in the
* is a spot

3. Steve,

I do believe there is more to it than ECSTASY.

I think the hull planking is 1 inch apart.

1653

x = t * c (* = multiply)

alpha substitution descending -
t = 7
c = 24

168 = 7 x 24

16 (5+3) = 168

Hi BS+CRS!

Originally, I was playing with synonyms to ecstasy and came up with such terms as dreamland, heaven... anyway. The numbers got me curious.

16 (5+3) = 168
trying a simple substitution

1=A
6=F
5=E
3=C

FACE ... or CAFE

Umm...unsure what the 168 is about, though... Not sure if any of this helps.

Happy Troving!

Beth

Hi BS+CRS

I understand how you arrived at your numbers. The 16 (5+3) seems a bit of a stretch though, but a very interesting coincidence. I was terrible in math so please correct me if I am wrong, but writing it as you did:
16(5+3)=168, this is not meant to be taken directly as a mathematical equation like the above x=t(c), is that correct? I say this because I don't think 16(5+3) would equal 168. Once again correct me if I am wrong, but I believe you are simply trying to imply that the chest has the numbers 1653. Isolating the 16 gives you the remaining numbers of 5 and 3. The sum of 5 and 3 is 8. You then have 168 which was the solution to the x=t(c) equation.

If you care to divulge more information, what exactly do these numbers signify to the overall puzzle?

9. the 12 pearl on the chest contain break points, e.g.,

2-4-4-2, morse code I-H-H-I

10. 1653 = FACE - works with your EYES and NOSE
