What are Vitruvian Man and the Santa Maria doing on this page? They really stick out as foreign elements not connected to anything else in the book.

Best I could come up with:

Vitruvian man was drawn in 1492, same year as Columbus sailed the Santa Maria to the west. The pocket watch hands are pointing at 1 and 4, not sure how to get the 92. The Vitruvian Man drawing and text are sometimes called the "Canon of Proportions", which may tie into "A Measure of Gold" and the geezer picture with his canon.

The Santa Maria is also (point of interest)ing by itself.

    Default map pieces

well after trying to figure out where the pieces
go on the book map, this is what ive come up with,
places...ie. topo pieces some changes have a black dot
ive added oak hill as it was not on book map
same for B, mansell pk, the closest i got on the topo
same for A, otter creek """""""""""""""""
acadia mt., saw on a topo, not listed on book map
and was only other mt i saw ending in A

tour roads..listed on bottom of book map
the only one im not real happy..or sure about
is E, i think E is part of B, but flipped and mirrored

also not sure if the lack of or changed pieces have
anything to do with hints to overall puzzle

sorry had to break up map to post refer to book map

was hoping to gain some insight from this
to date that has not happened

    Hi CW,

One of those topo tiles on the collage page is Norumbega Mt. It's 852 ft. high and located NW of the Gatehouse, lower Hadock Pond. After looking with my lens and piecing it together with a few maps, I figured it had to be right.

Still, not sure what it means. Was the fox there? or is it used as one of the locater sites for the key?? Could these topo pieces, when identified...maybe form a triangulation or something like it?

Anyway, thank you for putting these up. Yes, maybe you could be onto something.

    Your friend,
    Beth

Has anybody noticed that the Vit Man is wearing some sort of necklace?

There is one other thing I find interesting on this page? Any body else see this?

    Trainor,

I see several things on this page:

    1. The piano "keys" do not match a normal piano. Several extra keys between sharp and flats.

    2. The two triangle cuts (center of globe and "C" in matrix) involve an eye and a key.
