Any Nikon fans out there? I'm not, but some quick research leads me to believe this is a Nikon N60 Autofocus with a 50mm f1.4 lens.

The button labeled "DMS" is where the autofocus switch should be, so maybe DMS means degrees-minutes-seconds. The number 1927614 maybe a partial coordinate. Latitude 44 deg. 19 min 27.614 seconds puts you in the heart of the park, south of Cadilac Mt, and at the southern tip of Jordan Pond. The house is the illustration bears a resemblance to Jordan Pond House.

The structure in the background is the Jordan Pond Gatehouse

Ok, now I'm not so sure anymore. It is either the Jordan Pond Gatehouse or the Brown Mountain Gatehouse (N of Northeast Harbor). They either look very similar, or people posting images don't know what they are photographing.

I don't think this will work, because at the lat/long of the island, 1 second of N/S movement is equal to 101.25 ft (roughly), so a three digit decimal reading is too small to be viable. 1 second of E/W movement is even smaller (72.5 ft).

Perhaps, it's a direction to 'point the camera' --> 19 deg 27 min 6.14 sec

    Default RE: Nikon Camera

Of course, that's not the only possibility --

By the way, there's another anomoly on the camera that I missed earlier - at the ten o'clock point on the lens, is the value "1:1.4D". Normally, that area has the f-stop rating for the lens, and is displayed in the same format, only with a lower case "f" in place of the "D".

Now, as for the serial number of the lens --

The obvious decode is June 14th 1927. Hmmmm, June 14th is Flag Day, any significance there?

Final observation is on the gatehouse structure --

It looks like there is a considerable difference between the windows shown for the front of the gatehouse archway. Since this picture was painted/drawn rather than a photo, I can only assume that there is some reason for them being done differently ...

The 1:1. 4D on the lens refers to Pages 11 and 40. Combine these two pages to decipher the number squares.

I noticed the difference in the windows as well. I saw a picture of the gatehouse and the windows are different.
The thing I noticed is that the left window is round. Inside the outline of Fandango's ear it looks like a fish. The window is the fish's eye.

The border is also interesting, there are four E's - Red, Blue, Yellow and Green.

Also, when you look at the image in the lens, there are two angled lines that sort of cut the image apart. You can see the cuts in the roof and Fandango eyes.
