    MAP, p. 30

    30 = 13,1,16 = MAP (simple substitution)

    Also the wine bottle (not a book) has a vintage of 1957. First year a man orbited the globe.

    For the compass to be correct you have to be holding it up to the sky.
    Would anyone care to post the words on the wine bottle?

    The Victoria Cross is shown on one of the books, as is CROSS

    Addtionally, the the base of VICTORia compares to the base of WINe.

    There is another book, W~NE AST on the shelf, top right, if I recall. Therefore, I do not believe it is important to know the words on the wine label.

    More - the word "curr" in the link roaringtwenties provided is a synonym to WHINE.

    Victoria's Royal Cypher is VR, which is reverse of the RV shown on p. 19.

    Lines of latitude and longitude circle the globe, as shown in the picture.

    The moon circles the globe, as well. This can be tied to the COAST book title, top left, RE: an orbit is essentially an object coasting around something (of course, Maine has a COAST as well).

    To continue with the CIRCLE THE GLOBE and "orbit" line:

    There is a play(s) on the STEP INSIDE (bottom of frame)

    "step" in "side"

    S STEP IDE

    SST, I DEEP

    SST is the acronym for the Space Shuttle, of which the Challenger is well remembered (and the Apollo 17 lunar module).

    Challenger Deep is the deepest point in the ocean, which directly connects back to the Neptune theme. (connect to PLUMB BOB)

    SST I DEEP <acronym> ESP TIDES

    "Tides" pulls back to the moon orbit (previous post), and the Neptune theme again.

    ---------------

    This said, I don't believe these type of connections are necessary to work the basic puzzle, but illustrate that it was well thought out.

    Although, perhaps roaringtwenties would like to address the question. I probably overcomplicated it.

    Two distinct words are encoded on page 30

    ET
    HOP

    These words have the numerical equivalent of 64, the number of squares on a chess board. (This number is also indicated on the frame of another page's picture)

    On pp. 34 / 35, there is a frog, and a rabbit HOPs next to the Roman numerals MCMXLVII

    1947 = MCMXLVII

    Roman Numerals

    1947 is the date of the Roswell UFO incident (July 7, 7/7)

    Default Mountain elevations

    Check the elevations of the mountains on this page and compare to the ones on the
    map at the end of the book..they do not all match. And on another note..just wanted
    to see if anyone else has done anything with some of the colors of the inside borders.
    I had mentioned this before... but no one else had anything to say. Guess I am the only one who has tried this and did get some information from it.

    Ricky..have you tried anything with the colors that was beneficial in your solve? It would be nice to know if I am not wasting time using colors in some way.

    THANKS
