On the bridge, underneath the frogs, are the Roman numerals MCMXLVII = 1947.

This just happens to be the year of a big fire on Mt. Desert Island that burned nearly a third of the eastern side of the island.

There are 18 stone bridges in Acadia National Park, 16 of them built for J. D. Rockefeller, Jr.'s carriage road system from 1913-1940. I haven't yet found if any were finished in 1925, as in the drawing.

I found some of the bridge dates, but none so far in 1925:

Cobblestone Bridge, constructed in 1917 (the first)
Hadlock Brook Bridge, constructed in 1917
Eagle Lake Bridge, constructed in 1928
Bubble Pond Bridge, constructed in 1928
Duck Brook Bridge, constructed in 1929
Cliff Side Bridge, constructed in 1932

Apparently some of the aforementioned dates are wrong (ahh, the internets! ). But I did manage to find a better source and for the sake of trivia at its finest list them here:
    • Cobblestone Bridge - 1917
    • Little Harbor Brook - 1919
    • Jordan Pond Bridge - 1920
    • Deer Brook Bridge - 1925
    • Hemlock Bridge - 1925
    • Waterfall Bridge - 1925
    • Hadlock Bridge - 1926
    • Chasm Brook Bridge - 1927
    • Eagle Lake Bridge - 1927
    • Amphitheater Bridge - 1928
    • Bubble Pond Bridge - 1928
    • Duck Brook Bridge - 1929
    • West Branch Bridge - 1931
    • Cliffside Bridge - 1932
    • Jordan Pond Road Bridge - 1932
    • Stanley Brook Bridge - 1933

As, you can see, three bridges were finished in 1925. However, regarding the Deer Brook Bridge, "set into the spandrel of the arches is a plain, circular medallion into which has been carved the year '1925'." This description matches the drawing.

The bridge is NW of Jordan Pond. I'm guessing that the sign is for Kebo Mountain, which is about 3.17 mi NE of the bridge.
