Clock, Wheat, Colored magic square with POI cross, Raspberries, Two Bees, Red Rose Tea

    Bees could mean Beehive
    Compass rose

I am curious about the lady's sweater. There appears to be red people stick figures like an Indian would have on a blanket, the ones on her right upper sleeve look like "X's" though and there is a purple "V" above that. Also, tiny blue numbers that look like "71".

How's this? The "S" and "O" is in blue in the frame of the illustration. In red is "S" "W" "M" "D" and "I".
    Translation: Southwest Mount Desert Island?

I feel pretty sure this is only part of this puzzle on this page... but maybe it's a start.

P.S. been quiet on this site lately... Can we talk??

    Hi Beth,

Glad someone is still working on this one. It has been very quiet lately - maybe everyone was finishing up on taxes!

Interesting observation....I only see WMDI in red and SO in Blue (WISDOM). But this could still be West Mount Desert Island.

Any luck on any of the borders? Some look like they contain a code..

    Steve

    Hey, Steve,

Thanks for responding. I guess my code skills are not the greatest so I have been just looking at the things that are pointing to the letters in the borders. So far, nothing but I am not the type to give up.

If we can shake up the rest of our trovers, that would be great!

"Wisdom" is cool, but where would you look for that in a clue? Maybe it has to do with a place of learning. College, school, library?? Those are public places.

What's Southwest?? Sea Wall... Bass Harbor... Lighthouse... I'll keep researching. Again, thanks.

    Happy troving,
    Beth

    Hi Beth,

Look through some of the other posts. Each page border letters spells words and the blue ones all together make a phrase.

When you say " looking at the things pointing to letters", do you mean the star shapes in the corners? Have you been able to make anything out on those. I started to do that and have come up with some "almost" words, very interesting, but quite exact yet.

    Lets find the fox!

i was thinking it is a color issue, as take the red points, do we use RED, red.
or all SHADES of red.i have nothing on that, just as you say almost words.
going back to the colored letters
our first lesson was color code, to spell words, second lesson was, anagram
those words to what end? the red letters were per pg, the blue were anagramed from
several pgs. maybe we should start a, THE FOX CODE TOPIC, or something like that

It is possible they are used both ways. There is information encoded in the pictures which points toward actual locations, but not corresponding to the obvious.
    Hi Beth,

Note that the lady, p. 40, is wearing a TURTLE+NECK (and possible turtle glyph on the sweater)

In light of the above quotes, see if this makes sense to you .

Schoodic Map - Schoodic Point, Winter Harbor, Gouldsboro, Corea, Maine

    Good Luck,
