    Default string and hands

There is a string appearing in many of the images and it is always (that I have seen) connected to somebody's hands.
    - pg 7: Neptune holds it in his left hand
    - pg 16: Mr Proud Old Fop (P and F are part of the initials on the flag and his pocket) holds it in his right hand
    - pg 30: Harley holds it in his right hand
    - pg 32: Chief Abnaki's hair (where it reaches his hand) looks also like the string, this time is in his left hand

A couple more that can be considered more forced:
    - pg 26: Zodiose holds a wand, the end of the wand has the same colors as the string white-blue.
    - pg 40: between two of the lady's fingers there is a "ribbon" of her jacket that could look like the string

And then without the string, there are 3 more hands that don't look too natural:
    - pg 23 fisherman pointing up
    - pg 26 Celestia's right hand in strange position
    - pg 44 Sam's hand pointing up

Now look at this image and the rest of images in the link and see if you find any resemblance:

I don't have my book with me at the moment, but I remember the fisherman's hand pointing up. It seemed so out of place, so I naturally assumed he was pointing to something like those stupid fairys in ATT. This makes much more sense.

    It's not a place, it's a yearning. It's not a race, it's a journey.

I looed at the book, and I don't know. The hands don't seem very clear to me. The only real gestures I can see are page 34/35, the cherub holding up two fingers on one hand, and one on the other.

Is that the same cherub from gris-gris?
