    Default POSSIBLE BOTH FIREFLYS

I have been trying my hardest but am so new to ttreasure Hunting - I have been not so helpful. I think I have found both Fireflys:

Page 28 in the W tree the tree is actually looking at it

Then on Page 57 in the leaves: if you count from left to Right from the top of flowers 10 leaves
The 10th leaf is 1 wing then a dark spot for body then 11 leaf is other wing

It is the only one that looks like it.

I wish someone could show me how to start once you have both bugs.
Do we look in the text, the pictures WHAT???

I am so burned out and now I see that guy Jet at quest, he got me all upset that it is solved then some people say he is a liar. Please help me I am lost and nervous that he solved it

    Thanks

SP2000, I'm not sure I see what you're seeing, but I'll check it out in better light tomorrow.

As for Jet's claims, don't believe it until Mr. Stadther himself announces it's found on his website.

I feel kind of burned out, too, and then I think of something else and away I go *again*...

None of us *know* how to solve it, or it would be solved. We're searching, just like you.

Take in what everyone says, but don't let it be the only way you think of solving the puzzles. You may have a whole different way of looking at things that will get you to a token!!

Good luck, relax, and HAVE FUN!!!!

Welcome SP! (And Cat, you continue to be the greatest!)

I don't see a firefly on page 57, but who's to say for sure? We've all looked at every image so closely so many times, we're probably seeing for "trees" than "forest" at this time. (Just the opposite of what it's been suggested we do, for sure!)

There are at least two categories of theories of what the hidden forest creatures mean. One is that they are placed solely as the second way (from page 12) of how to "solve" the puzzle -- gathering enjoyment by searching for them with a child. The other is that they provide clues to help find the real jewels. Since none of the real jewels have been claimed, I don't know that anyone but the author really knows for sure at this point.

To your other point, this is my first treasure hunt, as well. From what I gather, a number of people on the board have done this before, and as you continue to particpate in the hunt, you'll get a better idea of the personalities -- many great, very few not so great. I, myself, have chosen to ignore a certain crackpot. I believe that's the best reaction to attention hounds.

But more importantly, just as in real life, none of us have a monopoly on what's right or wrong. We're all just doing our best, and trying to derive as much enjoyment as possible from the journey. Hope you're successful in that regard.

    Best of luck!

Great works are performed, not by strength, but by perseverance.

    Default Thank you Guys

Hey Thanks for the great responses, It is hard to explain where I see the Firefly on those pages but even my wife thinks I am right and that alone is a miracle.

We will be stuck in for 2 days with 24 - 30 inches of snow with 5 foot snow drifts.

I live in CT NOT FAR FROM mANHATTAN, I will post things as I think they are important.

Thank you for the great answers and support - GOOD LUCK

No, they can participate- just not CLAIM a token. they can Solve the clues, they can FIND a token, but they can't CLAIM it. And MS says that any collaborations are between the people.

    need i say more

Actually, CT residents are now allowed to claim a token as well. A couple of lawyers challenged it and won. It is official over at the ATT site.
