The firefly appears on the page that has the clue "Each is outside for you to find" On the side borders of the picture if you fold the book sideways and overlap the two branch lines I think that it spells something.

What do you think it spells, Regulus? I'll have to look at it more in the morning. Anyway, the text below the page abbreviates to 'AUG' the way I have it, as though it were a calendar page. I hate to say it (not really) but it looks like we've got a Q at the top.

Can you explain what you mean by match up the branch lines? Which branches?
I tried this a long time ago but couldn't get anything that jumped out at me.
perchprism, with regards to your AUG comment, I have also felt for a long time that if we fold a page just right, that we will end up shortening the caption at the bottom of the page so that it says something meaningful. Sort of like I used to do as a kid and the 1 dollar bill. If folded right it read something rather not appropriate for children (so I won't post it here). Now, the problem is figuring out exactly how to fold it!![]()
Calgon, take me away! To the jewels preferably!
I should explain what I tried. I tried folding it so that the branches on one side were next to the branches on the other side with the top edge lining up. I also tried moving it around using several things as keys to line them up, but nothing provided anything of significance.
