Thanks for posting the article. I went to find the butterfly and I was wondering how off on the time frame I was. I think she must have found it Saturday morning and we got there at sunrise on Sunday. Oh well I was about twenty four hours too short.![]()

Can someone track down Reba's e-mail address and find out where she's been all my life? I mean... why she isn't on here posting her pictures and stories!!!
Wow. This would be the first time that the token was NOT located in the tree pictured. It was NOT found in the tree pictured on pg 54. That tree was nowhere near the rapids. I know exactly which tree she found it in.
There was a large tree hanging over the rapids with a huge knothole in it.
Now I have to face the fact that the token was there when I was there on Thursday. I searched that tree, but apparantly not well enough...
I have to go scream now.
I am a wee pixel, and I approved this message.
I'm so sorry, I Hate to be the bearer of bad news

(NOTE FROM MODERATOR: Please DO NOT post anyone's personal information!)
What I find interesting about this article is the last sentence = "He declined to say how many there are to go." Yet we know there are supposed to be twelve, (according to the rules), and it even says there are 12 in the article. But then to not comment on how many more tokens are left? Strange and interesting.
I also like the fact they mention he is working on a second book, with a possible treasure hunt again!
I have trouble with the accuracy of either this article, or the treasure hunters' story itself.
Like the treasure finder, I too left Friday afternoon, but was unable to make Patton's Run before dark. I was at Patton's Run soon after daybreak Saturday, May 28th. At the latest I was there at 6:30 am which would give them 15 minutes to search, find the token, and leave.
There was one car at the overlook when I arrived. A large white cadillac with New York plates. There were two people with the car and they left after about 5 minutes. They sure didn't act like they had a token. In fact, I placed their ages at around 60 and find it hard to believe they would be able to perform this search in the time between daybreak and the time I arrived.
This is all assuming we are talking about the same Saturday. It is possible they were there weeks prior. The token did go missing the next Monday, though, and the Patton's Run solution was posted that Friday afternoon on the ATT site.
I didn't figure this out myself so I can't really complain, but I do feel bad for Weepixel who did solve this, and on whose advice I made that trip. I don't don't when/exactly where the token was found, but that article, in my opinion, cannot hold up to scrutiny. This begs the question as to what information is being withheld, and for what purpose.
While I agree that the accuracy of the article warrants some scrutiny, I think it's more from concerns about the standards of journalism in general than any conspiracy about information being withheld. (No offence to any journalists intended).
Did anyone see the Fox News bit on the Dragonfly? The information in that one was HORRIBLY incorrect!!!
Steve
Thanks for the link to the article. Great story!
