    Default The Golden Apple Tale

Has anyone heard of this book? I can't find any infomation on it other than what it says here: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/mparry/...lden_Apple.htm

I tried to look up the publisher to no avail. I just wonder if the treasure is still there. If it is, I'd like to get this book.

If you go to the forum at Quest4Treasure.co.uk and look in the "Current Hunts" section, you will see that there is a board set up for this book. As of this afternoon, the latest post there is from me (back in September of '04) asking if anybody had a book.

Fox sent me a copy, and after an initial read I e-mailed him with my initial assessment. We really haven't talked much about it since. If you PM me with a mailing address, I'll try to get a copy sent to you.

Don't get your hopes up on the artistic front. The story and artwork are both quite plain, though the jewel looks nice. The jeweler referenced in the book is a real person, but I have not tried to contact him to find out if he knows anything about it.

I was actually planning to attack this again when ATT is over.

Well, we'll gladly set up a board for this book here. If you have an idea on how we can organize it effectively, let me know.

I haven't been able to find a book and the can't even find the publisher. No book on Amazon or eBay. I just can't find it anywhere. I mailed the publisher, if it's still there, as I could only find the snail-mail address listed on the link above. Just wondered if this was a self-published book and if the treasure is still out there.

Anyone have a book they want to sell?

I just spent some time on the net and I can't find it either. You could try asking these people http://www.booklook.com/. They might be able to help.

    Good luck!

i have gone through hundreds of pages in the library of congress with hundreds more to go. so far i have only 3 clues to the book. i have posted it somewhere @att (bad memory). it is a very old rusian fold lure, not e the auturs name it is not listed under that. but all the letters are there. it has been revised and edited. i will look in my notes and post. the url for the LOC is a very interesting site.

I've so kindly been sent a copy of this hunt by a fellow board member, and seeing that it's older than I am and there seems to be no other way of picking it up, I think I'll scan it in and offer it here as a PDF. I'm sure if anyone cares enough to stop me then they'll most certianly have a way for us to buy a real copy.

Although delayed by some Turkies, tweleve is going to exist from now on as an omnibus hunt site, not just specifically for ATT or Stadther puzzles. So, feel free to stick around and post here. There's no reason for us to turn away our community when we can provide one stop shopping here.

thx, just read it and I was unsuccessful locating the copy online (cool re pdf, des). interesting in the 'notice' he writes the puzzles can be solved by a child of twelve with no knowledge of american history, not unlike ms...also, sending One Dollar for the when/where solve After the hunt is amazing. Does one dollar really buy anything anymore?

destructo - I posted the book here already, so you needn't go to the trouble.

Also, why should this serve as the primary site for TGAT when another one (Q4T) significantly predates it? The other board already has several helpful posts. It seems inconvenient and pointless to carry on two conversations when one could be had.
