    Default Get the Book here

I have posted the book here. It appears to be self-published, and has no ISBN that I could find.

    Download Here

Also, there is already a discussion group for TGAT over at Q4T. I recommend that any further conversation take place over there.

Please do read up on q4t: Q4T GAT board

I don't recommend that we all move over there, one thread and 17 replies is hardly an insurmountable archive, and most of the traffic is you and fox, who are now both members of this board.

I think your huge summary and downloading the PDF would be enough to get people working on this hunt on this board. Redundancy is always good and it's no secret that we're diversifying our interests to other hunts. Feel free to post on both boards, there are brits that haven't come here and there are twleevers that might not go there... but we're not going to turn away anyone.

The above link doesn't work for me.

I would prefer to stick here at Tweleve for TGAT.

As it is not current and the book is not readily
available, I am sure the general population would
    not show passing interest.

The one over at Q4T with working knowledge of
this hunt is Mark Perry and he doesnot seem to
want to be dragged back into the chase.

And with that, there is nothing over at Q4T on
this Tale that is not covered here.

If you want the pdf of the book, e-mail me as I have
    downloaded it to my drive.

I'm just a bit tied by my co-hunter David Manos Morris.

Until we can both agree I prefer not to take whilst I can't give.

Sorry, nothing against Americans, honest, David's one of you

The above link doesn't work for me.
I don't understand the problem - the link works fine for me and I didn't change anything.

So, why exactly has this not been solved yet? Is it really that difficult? Or was the lack of the internet back then (which Im sure helps tremedously now as far as getting intrest generated) and not enough press the cause of it to go on virtually un-noticed and thus, not many went looking for the treasure?

Oh and I take it you have to go find the treasure yourself... you don't mail in your solution and they'll tell you if your correct, correct?

(sorry kind of new to this whole treasure hunt stuff)

Oh and when a quest is listed as abandonded, does that mean it was never completed cause the company or whatever never actually hid anything or what? Cause I was curious the differnce between abandoned and unsolved.

As far as we know, it wasn't solved back when it was released, so we assume the hunt is still going on. Of course, no one knows how to contact the author, so the odds of a treasure still being out there are slim to none.

"Abandoned" means the people who created the hunt have called it off. "Unsolved" means the hunt is (presumably) still on.

The quote from the author's introduction is:

"The treasure is real, it is out there for the taking.
Be the first to solve the riddle and go get it."

The tricky thing about this hunt was that the
author wrote it under a psuedonym and seems to have
self-published it. The referenced post office box has
transferred hands at least twice since the 1982
    publishing.

Solving is one thing, having the time to travel and test
your hypothesis (after twenty some years) is something else.

Also with this one, the hunch is that it is not in a notable
area - not remarkable for touristic value.

It is a good read and provides many hours of puzzling.
My solution is mostly posted here, but still remains untested.

I did do some historical research and found from my complete
collection of the first ten years of Games magazines a few
cells advertising this book with the same contact information
and the same fonts used n the cover of the book.
