Default What I think the answer is...

Hey, I had this over 6 months ago. I just thought of something else that supports my answer... strongly supports...

Here it is. "The Poem Explained--- By Mark"

I think the apple is near Independence Hall.

Although the Sun rises in the East
    Low lands will have frost
    Tomorrow is another day
    Over and over again
Independence Hall is in eastern US
Lowlands will have frost, refers to the winter.

    If your clock stops,
    Watch someone elses
    .
    Hands are helpful,
    But a shovel works best.
    Hands= clock hands.
Watch the clock of Independence Hall

Chose a City, then proceed to this rhyme,
    Miss Muffet’s meal didn’t cost a dime.
Travel 3 leagues plus 2/3 more west,
Before you decide to exit and rest.
    simply directions

    In your quest,
    Do not rest long.
    Your hunt ends,
    Where your return begins.
    Meaning unknown

    Seek a presage
    to give you a clue.
    [color=blue]Three are 2’s [color=cyan]and
    Two are 3’s.
the presage is the $100 bill.
Look at independence Hall on the back. It says 2:22.
There are 3 twos, just like the poem says.

    Some trees have leaves,
    And some have needles,
    At this point in time,
They all look like hay stacks.
You want to look to daylight savings time. This indicates 2:22 during the fall/winter.

    That which
    you’ve seen to be so,
    Use a map
In the rain, wind, or snow.
Once again, this indicates winter. ?Possibly a hidden map in the book?

    Your Quest draws nearer
    So don’t get to smart.
    In order to retrieve,
    You must first construct.
Go to site first, then figure this part out

    From the remainder,
    Locate the Omphalos.
    Man has two feet,
    So look that far down.

    Graviety is important,
    So don’t treat it lightly.
    A car has two headlights,
    Discard the two dimist.

    Friends are caring,
    But gossip will spread.
    Don’t let it bother you,
    or go to your head.

    Some stars at night,
    Rest on the horizon.
    Be very quiet or
    you might wake one up.
Maybe it is located in a cemetery???

Anyone in this area might want to check it out... maybe throw me something??

it doesnt have anything to do with american history.Obviously the author knew that there would be anwers that pointed towards I.H and so at the end of the book it says YOU DONT HAVE TO KNOW ANY AMERICAN HISTORY TO SOLVE THIS RIDDLE.
    When it says
"If you watch stops, watch sombody elses.Hands are great but shovels work best."
That means your going to need to dig through somthing.
"Some trees have leaves and some have needles. At this point they all look like hay stacks"
That matches with the pinetree theory. The PINE NEEDLESare what looks like needles and the states at the sides have the bold letters and so on with the pinetree theory.
From the remander, locate the omphalos.Man has 2 feet so look that far down.
OK so after you get to the town its at or what you think and you climb up the pinetree, you locate the center and look 2ft down.(into the center)But since its been unsolved for over 23yrs your going to look 25ft down into the hollow tree.Thats all im going to say cause if I say more someone might solve it.

OK, Im terrible at history, and My answer doesnt require any knowledge of it whatsoever, at least, none that I can see you pointed out. How did you come to your answer? Is it just a very strong guess based on the poem like mine? Or was there a message that told you??

also, read between the lines, Hands are great, but a shovel works best. From my one month, one year, and one week of puzzle solving, I know that its phrases like these that help hide the clues. Anyone agree with me?

    Default Oh ok.

It just kind of came to me,like a message..I mean putting the clues together and comparing them with others on the forum got me alot further.ANd Alot of things matched up.Im going to go to the place I think the apple is located in July and ill make sure to post what happened.Either if I find the apple or not.I just know that its near a tree or in a tree and its the 2nd tree in the 3rd row or the 3rd tree in the 2nd row-cant remember right now.Like the book says"The best apple is always the 2nd tree in the 3rd row."WIsh me good luck thought If I replied with anymore......:P
And I dont think it has anything to do with AMerican History is what I ment to say.

You 2 have been watching too many movies.

Yes, Ntl Treasure is a great movie...... but it isnt the solve for this hunt. Movies like that are made so the plot can easily be followed by the audience.

These armchair hunts arent that easy. They are created by brilliant minds and made to befuddle the masses. If their hunts were that basic, they would be solved before enough sales to cover their start up.

go with your guts guys....if you find the treasure, by all means show us pix and gloat, but I'm afraid you are both barking up the wrong tree.

I know fox, I wasnt too involved in the hunt, i didnt have the book, i just read the riddle that was posted and tried to figure it out from there. I had no intention of going, but if someone in the area wants to try...

There is always the slight chance that it may work.

Maybe Cam is still around... maybe his name is vigenered and the key word is hidden in the pages of the book. Maybe Im way off and the apple is not retrievable.

    Hmmm...

I wouldnt doubt that both our answers are wrong, but you have to admit, everything in the riddle does point to IH at a certain time of year. lol

And technically, its possible that the solutions are similar...

Cam Kaskgn does not look like a real name. I think its a vigenere or something that we must figure out if we decide to send in the answer to check it. i tried a few things... but nothing worked...

I've been off this hunt for a while but I will check in occasionally
