I haven't posted in some time, but I thought I would share something interesting I had found, that I don't believe anyone had mentioned yet regarding XI.
I typed out all the text into notepad (so I could play around with it) and I noticed that some sentences had one space after the period and others had two. Since a mono-spaced font was being used, it was pretty easy to pick up on it, and I feel that it was done intentionally. However, I never could discern any pattern or information from it. I tried a few different avenues, including converting to ascii, binary, morse code, etc., but nothing worked well. The closest to actual success seemed to be one of the morse code options, detailed below, but I couldn't make any sense of it. Thoughts?
Here is a listing of the spacing by paragraph. A '?' is where a sentence ended at the end of a line.
P 1: 2122
P 2: 212
P 3: 2222
P 4: 22
P 5: 222
P 6: ?22* ("So is spaced out oddly)
P 7: None
P 8: 22
P 9: None
P10: 11?2
P11: 1122
P12: 222
P13: 22
P14: 1112112?2
P15: 1
P16: 111
P17: 1 (plus an extra space at the beginning of a line)
P18: 222
P19: 2?21 (paragraph runs over two different pages)
P20: 2
P21: 11111
Here are my morse code results, using 1 as long and 2 as short (vice-versa didn't give me anything useful):
P 1: L
P 2: R
P 3: H
P 4: I
P 5: S
P 6: M ("So is spaced out oddly)
P 7: -
P 8: I
P 9: -
P10: G
P11: Z
P12: S
P13: I
P14: OAD
P15: T
P16: O
P17: T (plus an extra space at the beginning of a line)
P18: S
P19: U
P20: E
Any feedback? Anyone else notice this?
Cheers,
Chris
