nice find Moscow. SLC has indeed been tossed around for this P...along with SL et al.
-Never knew this before: http://www.media.utah.edu/UHE/i/ITALIANS.html which ties in with the Litany. -lat/lon seem to fit nicely as well. -only thing that concerns me is the building on pandoras box. Seems like it should be an obvious bldg to find yet I can find it anywhere in SLC. Is it a real bldg? Is it a statue or mural? -still trying to find anything else in this P that relates to SLC 8)

Just in case SLC is correct, here is a list of parks through out the city. Seems like the logical first place to look.

I know that Memory Grove has been kicked around. I've been down there a few times in the past few months and a nicer park you can't find. One thing I worry about, though, is that when a tornado struck SLC a few years back, it ripped up Memory Grove and there was massive replantings afterwards.
I read that same article today about the Italian heritage. The Little Italy area was recently redeveloped into an uber-cool (at least for SLC) shopping district. I've got some ideas on some of the buildings that might be pictured on the box. Hopefully, I'll have some time to step away and look at some of them... There have to be more confirmers, though. I guess I'll keep looking. moscow

I continue to look for things in the picture that can be tied to SLC.
I have noticed that the ridgeline in the old SLC flag looks strikingliny like the neckline in the picture. I've only been able to find low res pics of the flag (there's been some iconoclasm lately in the Mayor's office. They're trying to update the flag, but in the mean time the old one seems to have disappeared in high res pics). Anyhow, I've attached a pic of what I think it looks like. Comments? Am I just barking mad? Cheers- moscow

Night owl-
That has been suggested before, in connection with the Ute tribe. Also on the grounds of the City/County building there is a statue of Massasoit. The emblem of the University of Utah is also a drum and feather. Good eye! moscow

First, a disclaimer, that I have never looked at this puzzle before. I only read Moscow's posts because they're usually interesting and this time I may have noticed something of value!
The thing that most jumps out at me from this image is SHAPE. Somebody really wants you to notice circles! There are circles of all sizes throughout - the star/planet, the moon, bubbles, globe, window, orbs, etc. Is there some sort of mathematical function related to a circle that might be useful to you all? A way to measure something in degrees - marked by the window? I agree that the neckline looks like a mountain range, but even moreso does the top of her head and hair. I wonder if you were to look for a series of ranges if you might have better luck. All the curves of the wall converge on that head, so it's important. I wonder, if you were outside looking in, what would you see? I would see numbers around the window frame - 1-4-1-11? Just thoughts. Hope they help. Carol |

Also, by the white flower, U-Z-Z? or U-2-2? And forgive me for suggesting this: by the u-turn 'arrow' on the right, there's a scrape in the wall coming from the window. Is it writing?
The 'arrow' looks like a backwards L to me, perhaps another clue to look at this from the outside in? I printed this page and have looked at it from the back, and you see things quite differently. Not sure if this puzzle is more symbolism or more code, but these are my thoughts for what they're worth! Carol |
